24.01.2022 Just a reminder- if you’re looking for something to do tonight, we are running a FREE FIRST AID session at Gledswood Homestead and Winery for young men at 6pm. We will be teaching valuable medical basics so that they are able to both stay calm AND know how to act in an emergency. If you/your child are thinking of attending, simply inbox me so that their name can be added to the list. Thanks Scott Taylor
24.01.2022 This Monday 20th March at 630pm sharp at Gledswood Homestead & Winery ,I will be running a session on Social Media Etiquette and Social Media Security at the Young Men of Macarthur Session. This session is open for all families to attend, not just the Young Men, as I know how timely, important and sensitive this subject is and it is of interest to all families in today's social media centric society. I will cover elements of responses to cyber bullying, cyber stalking concern...s, social media security settings and protocols as well as explaining what is acceptable conduct when using this communication method. There are some tragic cases of social media misuse and quite often, parents aren't armed with the right tools to help their children through these situations. I would love to see a full room for this session so please share the post with whomever you feel would benefit. It will only run for an hour and then there will be some free time for questions. It is free to all to attend and I promise there will be some very valuable information and tips to take away. If possible C91.3FM Campbelltown Macarthur Advertiser Camden Advertiser Macarthur Chronicle can you please help spread the word. Thanks. Scott Taylor CPP.
22.01.2022 Great article has been put up in the Oran Park Gazette about YMOMAC. Chivalry is not dead and together we are working towards developing good old fashioned values in these young men.
21.01.2022 After a break to reset and reformat some of our initiatives we are back! I am very excited to once again start offering free life skills sessions (such as first aid, cooking skills, maintenance skills, car maintenance knowledge, job ready skills and range of others) to the young men of Macarthur. I would like to thank everyone for their support of this group to date and we have had some wonderful experiences seeing the young men who have attended, learning and interacting to...gether whilst doing things like learning to make chicken cordon bleu from scratch or changing a tyre. Just a reminder, everyone who has helped pass on their skills in these sessions donate their valuable time freely as they understand how important it is for young men to have positive role models and to have a risk free environment in which they can learn and grow. Watch this space . Please share this post to anyone (or any group/page) you may feel would benefit. Thanks again. Scott Taylor.
17.01.2022 ** Our First Event for 2018 ** Young Men of Macarthur was setup to provide life skills for young men in the Macarthur area and to help immerse them in a positive risk free environment. Allowing them to meet some positive role models and interact with other young men from the area. What better life skills could there be to kick of our 2018 program with than Providing First Aid.... On Tuesday 31st July from 6pm until 8pm at Gledswood Homestead & Winery we will be running a Free First Aid workshop for the young men. We have a group of Qualified First Aid Instructors whom have all donated their time to share these skills with the young men for free. I would very much like to say a special thanks to Mike Hammond and his team at EMS, to Michael Bell and also Lisa Boyle for donating their time to this valuable session. Additionally, Southern Cross Group have agreed to donate a free first aid kit to every young man that attends. Its a 6pm sharp kick off so please make sure you arrive at 5:45 to be ready. Parents are able to stay for the session (but will have to sit at the back). I need to say a special thank you to Nadene Clarke from Gledswood Homestead & Winery who has supported Young Men of Macarthur from the start and gave us a home. We all are incredibly grateful. Please feel free to tag whomever you think would benefit in attending (or may have young men who should attend) and also share the post, I would really appreciate it. I have also had a few of the high schools contact me previously about sending some students to our sessions so if you are able to pass this content onto them, it would be great. 13.01.2022 Hi everyone! I hope you have been surviving the cold temperatures and have been keeping well. A few exciting developments occurring for YMOMAC so I can’t wait to share with you what we are working on. As always, anything we do is centred around providing the young men of the region with access to positive role models sharing important life skills in a risk free environment (underpinned by good old fashioned respect and courtesy).... Watch this space If you have been to a YMOMAC session please throw a comment below on what you thought about it to help spread the word . Thanks
09.01.2022 Thank you to everybody that turned up to my session on Monday about Social Media Security and Etiquette. We had a full room and the feedback was great. What was most rewarding was that a lot of parents and kids stayed back at the end of the session and asked more questions and I saw kids having a talk with their parents about it. Thought I would share some of the slides with everyone to help spread the knowledge so please feel free to share. ... Thanks again to Nadene from Gledswood Homestead & Winery your ongoing support is amazing!

06.01.2022 7 minutes we will kick off! Still time to get here for tonight's session
05.01.2022 Hi everyone! We are just finalising the next batch of sessions and will have the new dates and sessions uploaded through this week. We have some fantastic sessions coming up with a lot of them being practical based and in line with feedback and ideas we have been receiving. Based on that, there will be no session this coming Monday.... If you have any other suggestions for presenters or sessions for the Young Men of Macarthur please let me know as I want to try publish the next 8 sessions in advance. Thanks Everyone
04.01.2022 Tonight is the night!! I hope to see you all Gledswood Homestead & Winery tonight at 630pm for my session on social media security and etiquette. I will be covering off information on security settings, responses to cyber bullying and all other related items.... This session is free for anyone to attend so please share this post so we can help get the information out there. If we can help just one person deal with social media issues they are facing or help one parent have a good conversation with their child about it, it has been worth it. Thanks again for your support of the group and see you soon. Scott Taylor.
03.01.2022 We had a fantastic evening at Young Men of Macarthur tonight. A room full of young men learnt how to do bandaging, CPR, how to use an Epipen and a range of other potentially life saving skills..... and they had fun doing it. It was so rewarding to see the young men work together and partnering up and supporting each other through the different areas. Special thanks to Mike Hammond from EMSET, Michael Bell and James Crilly for helping teach these young men all they learnt ton...ight. Gledswood Homestead & Winery I cant thank you enough for continuing to allow us to hold our sessions there each month. Also special thanks to Workplace Training Group for providing the first aid kits for the young men to take home. From a personal perspective, It makes me incredibly happy to see the young men walk up to the instructors at the end of our sessions and shake their hands to say thanks whilst making good eye contact, you can’t replace good old fashioned respect and it’s one of key focal points I want to develop in the group. Please keep an eye on the Facebook page for our upcoming sessions and I look forward to seeing you all there. Scott Taylor.
