24.01.2022 Today we’ve prepared everything for manufacturing our next vintage of 700 SOFT Hand & Body Lotion. It’s not surprising that we’ve gone through it more quickly than usual, given the need to wash our hands a hundred times a day! One nice little bonus, is that I accidentally got Bulgarian Rose Otto on my face mask so have had the aroma waft around me all afternoon <3 Another of the ingredients is Myrrh, which has long been recognised as helpful when skin is exposed to the elemen...ts and prone to chapping. 700 SOFT it’s so lush, with Cocoa Butter and Shea Nut Butter and I love the aroma of grapefruit pink, which emerges as the lotion warms on one’s skin. 15.01.2022 See that little bunny on the label? That’s the Australian Certified Cruelty bunny and at some stage you’re going to see a change as we change to the international certification. There’s another change we’ve got afoot too we’re shifting to Cosmos Certified Organic accreditation. Once upon a time Australian Certified Organic (ACO) was the best, most stringent accreditation for skincare in the world, however recent changes mean it’s really not the relevant standard bearer for... skincare any more. So Keep an eye out for our new CO certification logo too! We will always be sticklers for doing the right thing by our world and will meet or exceed the highest standards. It can be annoying, expensive and time consuming, and let’s face it, there’s never a good time to suddenly stop what you’re doing to tick boxes and jump through hoops. But still It’s good to have someone independent cast their eyes over what we do and verify that we do in fact live and breathe these values we share with you. 05.01.2022 Friends of Y natural will know we really don’t do markets. It’s not really the setting for what is the equivalent of Chanel for the organic skincare world. But Kangaroo Island is our exception we have a special connection to this place, come here all the time and we have the very-wonderful Mandy Johnson at Seaside Beauty on the main street of Kingscote stocking our beautiful range in her salon. Mandy and I are here today at the Parndana Show, with a nice big stand and ever...ything looking rather gorgeous. If you’re around, please do come and say hi! This is just lovely. I’ve already had a chance to meet some of the people who received the products we donated during / after the fires earlier this year. I’m sure I’ll meet more too, before the day is over. We’ve been super-lucky with the weather too. Today really is the opposite of what 2020 has come to represent. It’s everything that’s good for the soul. We all need some of that, eh? <3

02.01.2022 Hi friends, back in May I set an ambitious target to run 100km in June as part of the Dream Run Challenge, raising much needed funds to help disadvantaged children. I’m popping in now to give an update on progress :-) As it turns out, the first 11 days of June were not to plan. June 1 was spent making an 18-hour road trip to Canberra, which happens to be where my partner-in-Dream-Run-Challenge (hello Carolyn! <3 ) lives. The drive was extra long because of a diversion to a...void having to cross into Victoria, which was under a covid lockdown. It meant for a long ,long day with no co-driver but having Loula and Gemma for company meant an excuse for plenty of dawgie-walk-stops. The trip was for very sad reasons, but also meant that many of long-time friends came together to share our grief, reminisce and find our own ways to feel at peace. On June 4 we (Loula, Gemma and I) drove to Griffith and spent some time with another old uni friend and her family. All good for the soul, BUT About the Challenge, well, while there were lots of walks with the girls but none were long enough that I’d count them as part of the Challenge. We drove back on 6 June ready for work on Monday 7 June. You’d think that means the start of Challenge runs, right? Wrong. It was a busy week of catch up til I knew things were all on-track with Y natural. I finally dragged out the running shoes on Saturday morning, and Sunday morning, and then again on Monday morning. Yay for a long weekend! After Park Run (5km) and the Sunday morning trail run (18.4km) and Monday morning river run (5.6km) I’ve now chalked up 29km. Redemption! ;-) 71km still to go to reach my Dream Run Challenge target... I’d love your support together we can help make life a little better for children living in poverty.
