If you're heading North (or South) with your SUP's, surfboards, and all your other beach gear , here's a couple of reminders to check BEFORE you hit the road. 1. Roof Racks - Check to make sure your roof racks are suitable for your vehicle, and that your roof racks have the load carrying capacity for your intended load . Check your roof racks for a secure fit to your vehicle, and that your racks are in very good condition. 2. Tie Down Straps... - Check the condition and suitability of your tie down straps. Buckles AND webbing ! If in doubt - replace ! We replace our tie down straps every year. Tie down straps are not expensive but are a critical part of safe securing of your load. We always use a 2nd tie down strap on the front rack for long distance trips too. Take spare tie downs - you will be glad you did. 3. Securing your load - if you are unsure as to the correct method for securing your boards, feel free to drop in to our store, and one of our experienced staff can assist you. 4. How to stop the FLAP, RATTLE and HUM ! Drop in for a chat, or give us a call and we can let you know some simple solutions to this often relationship testing problem !!
