Personally I am overwhelmed and in awe of Tyson Yunkaporta - Sandtalks take on things : "It would be unhelpful to say Granite is an igneous crystalline mix of quartz, mica and feldspar.. It would also be unhelpful to waft around in a tie-dyed shirt hugging the rocks and asking them to divulge their secrets by communing with us through nave piercings. You have to show patience and respect, come in from the side, sit awhile and wait to be invited in. 17.01.2022 Filmed on the outer edges of the Great Barrier Reef, this spectacular drone footage has captured what is believed to be the biggest sea turtle aggregation ever ...seen on camera. Researchers have pioneered a new way of calculating the population of the worlds largest nesting site for green sea turtles, on Raine Island. Using drones and a stripe of white paint on the back of adult turtles, the researchers from the Raine Island Recovery Project estimated there were 64,000 endangered green turtles at the Raine Island rookery. The new count shows there may be 1.73 times the number of turtles previously believed and they have now been able to adjust historical data to paint a more accurate picture of the areas endangered green turtle population. Just thought Id also share this picture of a baby wombat from The Rescue Collective whos hard working volunteers were recently supported by Australian School of Meditation and Yoga with a Care day after their essential work in the bushfires..
