18.01.2022 This photo was taken back in 2016. I taught this pose to my beautiful Aerial Yoga group last night. Back in 2016 there was no Yoga Veda and I was very early in my teaching career. A Facebook memory popped up from 2017 and I was quoting a guru (it was my era of diving deep in Vedic meditation and yoga philosophy). Here is the quote: Wisdom is knowing I am nothing, Love is knowing I am everything, And between the two my life moves Nisargadatta Maharaj... I realised I have moved on from this idea I once found so inspiring. That is what happens as we learn and grow and continue seeking to learn and grow...evolution. Here is my truth now. Wisdom is knowing I am everything Love is sharing it all without expectation And between the two, I create my world Let’s see where this sits in a few years...

18.01.2022 Yes that’s me with my morning smoothie bright and early ready to drive my gorgeous girl in our first @baytobirdwood So many years of dreaming has gone into this day. I never felt my car was good enough for about 15 years to go in this event. Transformation is possible. Not just in the physical form - yes she has had an extensive loving restoration and she is stunning. But the beating heart of this car was always good enough. And this is the same for all of us. Regardless of the outer skin we show to the world, we have boundless potential and greatness within all of us. So dump it today. Dump that not good enough BS that is holding you back. Don’t waste 15 years holding yourself back from the joy and abundance that is right there within you now.

I can understand why it has a strong association with health and longevity. And I just never get tired of the various moods and faces of the Colosseum. Feeling super blessed.

04.01.2022 There’s no more looking back. No more wondering what would happen if I just quit my career. I expected to be struck by lightning, ridiculed or plunged into a crippling anxiety of too much spaciousness and uncertainty. None of that happened. I feel delicate, soft, vulnerable, like wearing a brand new skin that is still unfamiliar. The rock hard exterior that I wore as my armour is no longer there, it is no longer necessary. ...So I am left getting to know this newness. Strangely familiar and yet completely foreign. She wants to move slowly, read, contemplate the horizon. She has lost her appetite. She dreams more and sleeps less. She is quieter, tuning in to her intuition and her heart; honouring those parts of her she put aside so very long ago. I need to spend time with her, learn her ways and dive into this whole new way of being. Uncertainty, love and connection are the new needs to be met. So I am taking some much needed time to recalibrate and contemplate. Re-invention of one’s entire life is an incredible gift, but it’s also deeply challenging and quite exhausting. But I am patient and will love myself through it. Two things that we’re not apparent whilst I flogged myself to build my previous life and career. 04.01.2022 A big grazie to the sculpting and scissoring skills of Manolo @mullethaircode Despite the language barrier and masks, warmth, kindness and humour are still possible. As is trust. I felt at ease trusting in the well known craftsmanship and artistic talents that no doubt run very deep in the Italian gene pool!! To experience this small, local business with just 2 chairs working on mask-wearing clients in creative ways and with endless patience, acceptance and enthusiasm reminded me why I have come here. Italy has my heart. She is not easy everyday but when I open and don’t expect, she yields and rewards me.
