24.01.2022 So very true. Love this.

23.01.2022 As we gradually come out of the time of being so isolated. May we become more appreciative of the meaning of being "still". Taking time for self and family. Reconnecting with that of which we were missing or had forgotten in our busy life of lacking time to be "still", no matter how brief the moment, it is extremely beneficial to mind and wellbeing. Time to reflect on the beauty of nature, on our own physical and mental health. Time to breathe, appreciating breath within.... While many of have had this time to reflect on selves, may we be truly appreciative of those on the front line whose lives have actually become more busy and most often more stressful. These beings quietly going about their work we most often take for granted. Yoga and or meditation for 2 hours a week have an impact on our brains helping towards the prevention of age related mind altering diseases. With being excellent for stress management. Still Waters Yoga and Meditation have awoken from being "still of "facebook". I look forward joining with you. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Universal peace, from my heart, my speech and my thoughts. Valerie

17.01.2022 Today is National Hugging Day! Hugs make you happier scientific fact and we don't all have a partner so give someone a hug today and make someone happy! Oxytocin is a chemical in our bodies that scientists sometimes call the cuddle hormone. This is because its levels rise when we hug, touch, or sit close to someone else. Oxytocin is associated with happiness and less stress. Scientists have found that this hormone has a strong effect in women. Oxytocin causes a reduction... in blood pressure and of the stress hormone norepinephrine. P.s Only hug with someones permission! The way this world is going, I wouldn't want anyone offending others This is from Social Treats Wellness Entrepreneur share.

07.01.2022 I am finding so much joy and peace in using my new Mala beads whilst practicing Upanshu Japa Meditation. Japa 'to rotate'. The practice of Japa Yoga involves repeating your personal Mantra with continuous rotation of the Mala beads. Practicing with Mala beads requires a specific act for correct use (More on this another time). There are many styles of japa meditation. Upanshu Japa is a whispering japa where only the practitioner is able to hear the mantra, yet their lips are... seen to be moving. Upanshu Japa is useful for those practising in a certain environmental situations, of lengthy sits and especially to be practiced when using your own mantra used for a specific purpose. This mantra is often given to one by a guru or mentor. It is always advised to use the guidance of a trained meditation teacher for the best practice as there are many styles. An incorrect choice for your type may set one back in their practice or in some cases cause one give up either totally or for some time due to lack of understanding and frustration. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Valerie

01.01.2022 Last week I discussed Upanshu Japa Meditation and Mala Beads. I have come across this lovely non denominational YouTube video of how to hold your Mala beads should you have an interest in Japa meditation. Baikhari japa (nachika), I will talk of shortly. Wishing you a wonderful day with peace and gratefulness. Valerie
