25.01.2022 Getting to know our Yogabox Teachers Over the next few weeks, we’ll be catching up with each of our Yogabox teachers here at Springwood. This week we catch up with the wonderful Anne! ... What style of Yoga do you enjoy teaching? Gentle Vinyasa and Yin. What drew you to the Yoga practice? I had an experience with yoga when I was young where the teacher asked us to think about nothing and I got a massive headache because I couldn’t think of nothing! Much later on, my best friend encouraged me to try yoga. I resisted for a long time. Finally I relented and took my friend’s class. It felt like putting on an old glove. Now, it has become my passion. What classes do you teach at Springwood? I teach Thursday 9.30am Yin. I teach at Springwood because of the dedicated members who have grown so much through their regular practice. The Yin class has so many benefits and it’s a joy to see the members reaping the rewards from this practice. Tell us....what’s your favourite food? Oysters and fruit. If you weren’t a Yoga teacher, what would you do? I’d be an archaeologist with time to practice philosophy (which I have a degree in). But whatever I do, I would always include yoga practice and group fitness classes in every day. Health and fitness are fundamental to my being. 06.01.2022 Give back this Christmas in July with Goodlife Health Clubs and Starlight Children's Foundation.
