23.01.2022 I am aiming to make a post once a week, but the last four weeks have gone by with nary a post, Oops! Soooooo .. Sunday 16th July is my next Restorative Yoga and Meditation Workshop at SaltYoga, Christies Beach 9.30-11.30am, and the theme is Loving (the best medicine). Let me know if you would like to come along and love yourself through complete practice of restorative yoga poses and meditation. With Loving (and minimal posting) in mind, heres a quote that I luv ..... Loving is the most natural way to heal yourself. That means no unreasonable demands or expectations on yourself, and putting your health and well-being into the Light for the highest good. John-Roger

22.01.2022 Thank you Bec Evans Graphic Design for creating my new colours and mandala logo. I love it! Working with Bec was ease and grace; I was surprised how easily she transformed my words and requests into this design. And thank you Claire at Project Work Life for recommending Bec and knowing we would click. Now to launch my new project!

15.01.2022 Sunday 18th June is my next restorative workshop at SaltYoga, Christies Beach 9.30-11.30am. Come along and enjoy Darshana Pravana, a sublime breathing practice that I will add to the restorative poses and meditation practices. Darshana Pravana is a fusion of body awareness, breath awareness and mudras (hand positions) it sounds complicated but is super simple and each step is guided. This practice refreshes me when I am fatigued and brings calming sweet peace into my mind when I am a bit toooo busy. Please let me know if you would like to come along on 18th June; it's a good idea to book ahead of time :)

08.01.2022 Welcome to Yoga Calm

07.01.2022 Sitting in the lotus position or lying down on your back, begin breathing into your belly. Keep your mind entirely on the belly as it rises with every in-breath and falls with each out-breath. Breathe deeply, maintaining full attention on your abdomen. Dont think. Stop all your ruminating, and just focus on the breathing. Thich Nhat Hanh, Peace Is Every Breath: A Practice for Our Busy Lives Come along to Yogacalms May Restorative Workshop on Sunday morning 21st May, wher...e theres nothing to do but be still and follow breathing meditations - simple and profound - whilst we practice a complete round of restorative poses and complete with yoga nidra. Why do I love my restorative yoga practice? Letting go of my busy, striving, full-to-the-brim, urgent, list-filled mind is as simple as breathing itself. I love this stunning paradox. My mind thinks that there is not enough time, not enough love, not enough talent, not enough resources insert whatever you like, my mind thinks theres not enough. In my striving to remedy not-enoughness, theres urgency. Theres worry and fear. But .. if I turn my minds attention to watch my breathing, I begin to breathe along with the sweet equanimity that breathes me. I relax. Despite myself, I smile - Its a relief to be out of my mind for a little while . Is it a luxury to take time to immerse in the peace and quiet of a restorative workshop, or is it necessary practice? I for one need to practice the art of breathing deep and full into the peace that awaits; its there always for the taking Please let me know if you would like to book a space for Sunday 21st May, 9.30 to 11.30am, again at Salt Yoga, 41a Beach Road Christies Beach.
