15.01.2022 Day 5 of lockdown. Had thought that it would be nice if we could be bears sleeping in our caves all winter to then wake in the springtime and dance in the real world together! Yoga is running every Tuesday and Thursday 6.30pm and Saturday 10.30am in zoomland.

07.01.2022 th: When we feel felt, I feel you feeling me, you feel me feeling you, we can relax. When I feel felt it provides safety. It creates community. This is also what good leadership is about. Resilience building means that I am not just a cognitive participant of the communities I am part of, it is that I feel it. When we are aware of each other we create collective coherence. That is especially important when we go through disturbing times.

05.01.2022 We had a beautiful slow, grounding practice tonight to open the root chakra. This chakra grounds us and nourishes us. We were like elephants moving slowly across the earth. The root chakra is associated with Ganesh, the elephant-faced god - the remover of obstacles. When we are grounded, things become clearer, and the spinning/ netting complexity of the mind and its stirrings in the nervous system becomes stilled and centred and the nervous system relaxes. We remember we belong to and are supported by the earth. In Aboriginal spirituality - earth is mother.

01.01.2022 I used to ask my poor friend almost daily, 'Is everything going to be OK?', to which he would patiently reply, 'Everything is going to be OK.' He didn't suffer anxiety like I did, so he had a sense of safety that I did not. After a few years of practicing yoga almost daily I stopped asking this question. My own being now understood intuitively that everything was OK. To understand how yoga, and especially ujjayi breathing helps reduce anxiety, and why it is so important to have a clear energetic line between the stomach, all the way up the spine, to the brain read the article below.
