23.01.2022 Registered Teaching Training in yoga and mindfulness for children is still available via Teachable: Tracey Maclay. Yoga Alliance Registered. To become a registered yoga for kids teacher (RCYT) you must have completed 45hrs total Childrens Yoga training. Stage 1 is the foundation course: Yoga for Under 7s. Yoga for special needs and Stage 2 with Yogamotorskills (Yoga for primary age, teens and Introduction to yoga for anxiety/trauma affected young people). 07.01.2022 #freedomfriday This exert from a recent article I read explain how yoga practice gives you freedom in your mind. The slower, mindful practice with controlled breathing gives the mind a break, as well as benefiting the body physically. As mentioned our breathing is relative to activity, yoga can break poor breathing habits induced by our daily life, anxiety and stress and return us to healthy breathing patterns. Mindfulness of an asana practice gives a little reprieve from the unhelpful thinking loops or monkey mind chatter. The stillness and silence that yoga fosters can allow moments of insight and the space allows for greater perspective.
