23.01.2022 In Hatha 2 practice, we take time to work on challenging poses. The body would be warmed up and prepared for peak poses and our members will have enough time to work on the poses at their own pace with guidance from our teachers. This is a modification of side crow pose. A good pose to challenge your arms balancing and focus. Join us for our Hatha 2 practice 930am- 1045am every Monday. Not for complete beginners but you are welcome to join the practice if you have a some experience in yoga.

22.01.2022 8 and 38- flexibility can work at any age. Practice and all is coming! We were born flexible. As babies we were the epitome of flexibility- we were the image of moldable magical creatures, tumbling and moving freely with no inhibitions, waiting to explore new range of motions now available outside of mom. Our entire lives, a blank canvas waiting to turn dreams into realities. As babies, we embodied hope, opportunity, possibilities and magic. But over time, something happens.... Life. Experience after experience. Story after story. We lost the flexibility of both mind and body. As adults, our minds become less flexible as well as our body no way that is going to hurt. I can’t. Too hard. Ouch. That is uncomfortable. How is this good? I have to do this. I need to do this but I don’t have time. When the mind has become resolute in its direction, how can flexibility be attained? Most try to push through. And with pushing, comes tendency for injury. In my personal opinion, flexibility is a state of being when both mind and body experience freedom at the same time. To push through while still gritting your teeth thinking this sucks, is just suffering. Can you stay in the state of discomfort and instead smile softly, and say ok I’ve got this. Let’s breathe It is not easy and will take years of consistent practice, love, patience and awareness of all time; but the results travel far beyond the flexibility of the body. You attain the flexibility of the mind- and a flexible life

22.01.2022 What a crazy year it has been! Who would have thought 2020 would be like this when we were celebrating the end of 2019 this time last year. Looking back, 2020 wasn’t at all bad. If we want to look at the bad sides of it, we will always see the negatives. But if we choose to find positivity, there are plenty. With myriad of challenges, many of us have discovered strength and resiliency we didn’t think we had. Many of us have grown out of our comfort zone, we find connection a...nd togetherness in our community despite the virus and the lockdown. It has been delightful to see so many practitioners around me developed a regular home yoga practice and have been carrying on until today. For me, personally, 2020 reminds me again and again the big words that I learned from yoga - ACCEPTANCE AND CONTENTMENT. Being able accept life and go with the flow have allowed me to go through this year with more ease and calm- however my kids would be the best persons to tell you if I was calm and cool the whole time! #mumslive #mumof3 Through my yoga and meditation practice, I was able to find contentment and groundedness and constant gratitude towards ordinary things in life. Yoga has taught me the ability to observe the duality of things and choose to lean towards the positive side. The biggest blessing and achievement in 2020 for me would be the founding of Yoga Peace Australia. My heart ached when I saw so many local yoga studios were forced to close down during and after the lockdown. I thought if there was a place for the local yogis to continue to practice, it would be wonderful! Since the birth of Yoga Peace Australia in Oct 2020, we have grown with more than 80 practitioners in 2.5 months. Our classes are booked out 80% of the time. Our retention rate has been a true blessing. 90% of the yogis who tried our classes have continued their regular practice with us. We are so grateful for everyone’s support and we look forward to many more practices together in 2021. Thank you so much! I would like to also take this time to thank my husband and my 3 children and my family mum dad and sis and my extended family and my friends who have given me support through this year. I would like to acknowledge the amazing help of my staff teacher Jacqueline Jacqueline Szeto since the beginning of the business till now and welcome our new teacher Sree Harshini onboard from Jan 2021. I would really love Yoga Peace Australia to help you in your yoga journey in 2021. If you are in Parramatta or near by area, come and take a class with us! For whatever reason you can’t come to the studio, join us on Zoom! 18.01.2022 Looks who’s joined us and started his yoga journey at our studio. It’s Mr. Deputy Mayor Eddy Sarkis of Cumberland Council. He saw one of our signboard advertisement and called us up. After his first trial class with us he said I didn’t know yoga can be such a good workout. I slept so well after! He has joined us as a regular member to practice yoga with the intention to gain back his flexibility and strength of an ex martial art elite. Looking forward to many practices together Mr. Deputy Mayor!

18.01.2022 #kidsyoga #inversion Inversions have many good benefits to the body but beyond that it is the focus we want to cultivate for the mind. When children practice yoga, they improve their body awareness and focus their mind. Only through deep concentration and profound connection between body,mind and breath, they can find the balance on their head, hands or foot. Bella is almost 8. She has been doing yoga regularly for about a year now. We are launching kids programme soon for upcoming holiday. Stay tuned!
