22.01.2022 All our hearts are heavy with the current situation being faced by numerous families, communities and our wildlife which are being adversely affected by the raging bushfires throughout Australia and more currently in Victoria and Kangaroo Island in SA. I am inviting you to my yoga class where all money raised for the next three weeks will be donated to Zoos Victoria Emergency Wildlife Fund (https://www.zoo.org.au/fire-fund/) an organization who rehabilitate injured wildli...fe. This is needed now more than ever because the catastrophic fires are taking a tragic toll on native animals. A 75 minute beginner friendly practice will be offered on the next 3 Tuesday evenings at 7pm at @notagym 62 Hartnett Drive, Seaford. As every dollar counts, I urge you to come along. As these classes are offered by donation, I will only be able to take cash (whatever you can afford - this will be anonymous). For those who currently have active passes, money will be allocated appropriately however if you want to add more it will be gratefully accepted. I will provide proof of donation to those who offer their email address. See you on the mat. Namaste (the divine light within me honours and acknowledges the divine light in you). 18.01.2022 Yoga is about noticing how you feel at any given moment. It’s not always about the stretching or the exercise. Langhana means to reduce or bring back to calm and it’s a practice to enable a shift and to transition smoothly into feeling less anxious, less stressed. The emphasis is on exhaling during a grounding pose like seated forward bends or twists; allowing the exhales to be longer than the inhales and with continued practice can incorporate a pause after the exhale. Let’s bring on some calm. Join me in my practice this evening: at @notagym 62 Hartnett Drive, Seaford. 7pm. See you on the mat.

17.01.2022 According to Yoga Philosophy our consciousness comprises 3 components: ego, mind and intelligence. Usually ego aligns with what we can feel, see and know. Let’s explore what happens when we are unable to see parts of our body, how the ego is gratified but with greater awareness of the union of body and mind how much safer and more beneficial for the body (legs, hips and back) the poses in yoga can be. Love to see some new yogis (even if you have little or no experience) on the mat tonight. Join me at Not a Gym 62 Hartnett Drive, Seaford at 7:00pm. Any questions or to book your mat, please email me at [email protected] Namaste

12.01.2022 In the winter in order to keep the body healthy we need to move more ie. movement includes side stretches, supported and inverted poses which increases circulation in the lymphatic system. Unlike blood, which has a pump (the heart) lymph moves by muscular contractions during movement and exercise, such as yoga. Yoga is the key to keep the lymph flowing. Join me on Tuesday evenings for a truly beautiful flowing practice to keep you healthy during winter at Not a Gym. Love t...o see some new yogis even if you have little or no experience. See you on the mat: 62 Hartnett Drive, Seaford See more

08.01.2022 YOGA TONIGHT Smokey haze on the beach at Seaford last night is the result of bushfires that are still prevalent in Victoria and NSW. This is reminder of the devastation they have caused (you probably do not need this reminder as our news leaves nothing to the imagination) and of the yoga class invitation extended to all. These sessions (for the next three Tuesdays) are being held and can be attended by donation only, where all money raised will be donated to Zoos Victoria Em...ergency Wildlife Fund (https://www.zoo.org.au/fire-fund/) an organization who care for and rehabilitate injured wildlife. This is needed now more than ever. Beginners are welcome at this 75 minute practice at 7pm at @notagym 62 Hartnett Drive, Seaford. As every dollar counts, I urge you to come along. Please bring along cash, whatever you can afford, - this will be completely anonymous. See you on the mat.
