06.01.2022 Yesterday after my walk I went to do Waterfall and as I was getting into the pose my very first Teacher Trainer Shanti came onto the computershe does th...is amazing Yoga Nidra that is just over an hourI had forgotten until a couple of years ago that it was on my computer and every now and then her voice comes on bringing up a myriad of emotions as I listened to her soothing voice I have a proposal for you if you choose and she says this a few times when she wants to take you to a deeper level or layer in Yoga Nidra what I love about these words is the freedom that she exudes behind these words reminding us always that we have a choiceshe was 65yrs when she taught me real Hatha so she would be well into her late 80s nowI remember how often she would remind us of our humanness which is synonymous with intellect ..,something we develop and have to work on our whole lives and never quite arrive (as long as you have humans in your life you will have issues deal with it!!! Her famous last words) whereas the spirit is the intelligence(heart stores and balances our spirit.,our first brain ) to her, every emotion was valid and had its time and place no matter how far and deep you were in your spiritual journeyshe was the one who always said if you’re enlightened you’re deadshe would also acknowledge the deeper and more ethereal the journey the tougher the lessonsreminding us that God/Universe/ Higher Power places these lessons in our path not to punish us, rob us, destroy or diminish us but rather to take us deeper into our evolution just like her Yoga Nidrayet at the same time reminding us that we can still choose to stay where we areThere are of course numerous spiritual reasons for why the Planet including us humans are going through this crisis which is an opportunity for a creative solution however for many this is the time and space for us to live the life we are born to live with courage and commitment ..the life and people we said we would become once I accumulate this much wealth or have this much experienceetc .,,I am once again reminded of the Bhagavad Gita in which Krishna counsels a doubting and confused Arjuna..it is better to do one’s own dharma however imperfectly, than to do another’s perfectly Many have lived the perfect life for others based on many reasons and as F. Scott Fitzgerald says it’s never too late, or in my case too early to be whoever you want to be....I hope you live a life you’re proud of.If you find you’re not,I hope you find the strength to start all over again’so this time can be to allow us to be creative in opportunities to live the life we are proud of or born to liveHearing Shanti’s voice reminded me why this journey chose me and to keep going regardless of the human self who sees a crisis and buys into the crisisEvery few years I find myself asking the question..is my time in my vocation over or am I going about it the wrong way and need to change direction.,,Some of us may need to start over whilst others may need to ignite fresh energy in the direction they are already going in, and then there are those who need to rest and prepare themselves for the people waiting for guidance and tools on the other sideEither way the spaces between our thoughts known as spirit will reveal all of this to us if we chooseAnd those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music Friedrich Nietzsche ..our time is NOW no matter what part of our journey we are onwhat a blessing and a gift we have been given See more
