24.01.2022 What are your favourite types of sugar? Ayurveda considers sweetness to be one of the most important of all the 6 tastes. Ayurvedic principles teach us that the sweet taste nourishes and invigorates the mind, relieves hunger and improves the immune system. Sugar is associated with the positive emotions of happiness, contentment and satisfaction when eaten in appropriate amounts. ... *However, there is a big BUT here!* Ayurveda promotes only natural sweetness which can be found in fruits, honey, jaggery and other natural sugar sources. Obviously, we all know it's best to limit the overly processed goodies! So, tell us, what is your go to sugar source/substitute?
