23.01.2022 A big warm welcome to sensitive Kids Yoga Course 2, which starts tomorrow. . Tomorrows class is for parents. In this first class we will: - run through the yoga programme, so you have the chance to get familiar with it before the kids join in, in week 2. Ill show you the yoga poses. Ill show you how to adjust them to make them work really well for you. Ill help you get confident and comfortable about what youre doing. Youll be able to ask questions about an...ything youre not sure about. - talk about yoga therapy techniques that will help your child. - talk about what to do when your childs attention span runs out. Everyone has different concentration spans. When our concentration limits are reached we need to stop and do something else. Ill show you some relaxation techniques you can use of your child when he or she needs to stop. - Learn some yoga breathing techniques that are great for calming and centering your child when their emotional temperatures are high. - Have morning tea afterwards, so that you can get to meet the other parents. 22.01.2022 Natural relief for kids with ADHD, ASD or Anxiety. Some kids find it harder than others to manage school life and family life. Children with ADHD and autism or who are highly sensitive often find it hard to keep it together. Daily life creates intense wear and tear on them. As a result its often hard for them to finish tasks, and stay calm when life gets frustrating or stressful. Tantrums and anxiety feature regularly in their lives. Of course, the stress of this gets ...shared around the family! Sensitive Kids Yoga helps to ease this wear and tear. It helps kids settle their bodies and settle their minds. Consequently they become more grounded and focused. Their concentration levels increase and over-arousal levels decrease. I have worked with autistic, ADHD and highly sensitive kids since 1992. Over the years I have developed my classroom and yoga teaching skills into a package of yoga that: - Brings physical, mental and emotional benefits to kids. - Increases compassion and connection between the highly sensitive child, and siblings / parent. Carers and kids, or siblings work in pairs to practice yoga that is fun, engaging and therapeutic. Your children will want to practice between classes, guaranteed! Private classes are available in the comfort and familiarity of your own home. Group classes are starting soon, on Sunday mornings at Brisbane Independent School.

In our super-fast everyday lives, by the time weve finished our work, whether paid or unpaid were often ready to collapse. Our ...bodies want to stop, but our brains dont relax quite so easily so we need hours slumped in front of screens, (or food, or alcohol, or other quick fixes) to slow down our thoughts enough that we can sleep easily. What a lot of time we waste! A weekly yoga / meditation class gives you the know-how to bring yoga into your every-day life. 06.01.2022 Welcome back to yoga in 2019 :) This terms yoga is up and running, and everyone is feeling happy to be back on the yoga mat. In the school holidays it was my very great pleasure to teach family yoga. It was lovely to introduce yoga to the children of Yoginis dedicated students. This is what what one student had to say:... "We attended family yoga over the Christmas holidays on three occasions, my family included my 68 year old mother, myself, my 11 year old son and 13 year old daughter. Noush has such a lovely connection with all her students, the class introduced my children to concepts of mindfulness, mind body connection and awareness as well as a range of carefully selected yoga poses that were both challenging and fun. This class is a wonderful way to introduce children to yoga practice and is skillfully adjusted to meet the needs of its attendees. We all left calm, relaxed and will certainly return. Thank you."
