09.01.2022 So excited we can start yoga class back in studio following government guidelines. For now at this stage we will offer 1 morning Hatha Yoga class and some random/occasional Saturday afternoon YIN/RESTORATIVE yoga workshop. Monday 6.15am - 7.30am ... Commencing this Monday 15th June As we are restricted with numbers we need you to book in at least 24 hours prior and let us know if you can’t make it so we can offer your spot to someone else. We appreciate your understanding. We ask that you arrive 5 mins before class and that that you leave the studio after class. Just for now we will not gather inside for a cup of tea until restrictions ease further. We also ask that if you are feeling unwell or have any symptoms of sore throat, cough or fever we ask you to please cancel your class and not come to the Studio until you're feeling fully recovered. We ask that to each class you bring the required items of - Full sized towel Water bottle Yoga Mat if you have one Be assured we will continue to have a sanitising station at the Studio and will be continuing to enforce social distancing and the appropriate cleaning and sanitising of the studio and equipment. Feel free to email me with any questions or concerns that you may have. I look forward to seeing you in the studio once again. love and gratitude, Lea Xxoo Together we will........ ~Connect ~Breathe ~Move ~Let go

06.01.2022 Sanskrit...words in yoga class.. No, your teacher isn't speaking gibberish. He or she is probably speaking Sanskrit an ancient language from southern India. Here are the 5 words you'll hear most frequently in your classes. 1. Asana. AH'-sah-nah. Literally, it means "seat," but in yoga class it's pretty much interchangeable with the word "pose." For example, Balasana = Child's Pose, Navasana = Boat Pose... and so on.... 2. Namaste. This is my favorite Sanskrit word because it's fun to say--nah'-mah'-stay. It means: The divine light within me salutes the divine light within you. My incredibly simplified translation: I'm awesome. You're awesome. All these other people are awesome. Isn't it awesome that we just practiced yoga together? Thanks for your presence. 3. Om. Ooooooohhhhhmmmmmmm. It’s said that this is the sound of the universe. The written version of Om has become a universal symbol of yogait adorns yoga studio walls and is tattooed on yoga students everywhere. But what does it mean? Essentially, we are all a part of this universe--always moving, always changing, always breathing. When you chant Om, you're tapping into that vibration. 4. Shanti. Peace. When you chant, "Om shanti shanti shanti," it's an invocation of peace. In Buddhist and Hindu traditions you chant shanti three times to represent peace in body, speech, and mind. 5. Yoga. We all know that yoga is the union of body, mind, and spirit. That's what the word yoga means--yoke or union. It is, indeed, the practice of connecting our body, mind, and spirit, but it can mean more than that, too. It's about connecting us to ourselves, each other, our environment, and, eventually, our truth. article credit to Yoga Journal #yogitimewithlea #yourthoughtsbecomeyouractions #justbreathe #gratefulheart #yogilife See more

05.01.2022 Great reminder... my card for today..

05.01.2022 For now we have made the choice to halt yogi time classes in studio. This is an act of LOVE for the higher good & our greater community. Social distancing and self isolating we can find the joy and gift in this. It’s so important we don’t operate from fear... I want to operate from LOVE. Let’s not self isolate out of fear that we don’t get sick, let’s self isolate out of a desire to help others not get sick. We ma...y not even feel sick but we may pass it on. This too will pass....everything rises and passes away.... let’s look for the silver lining and blessings in this and after this.. Keep practicing yoga and meditation at home or find a spot in nature to nurture you. Namaste See more
