Bookings are essential and will be available from July 4. Please read and follow the updated policy guidelines below, as we need to protect and maintain the good health of our community: Archers may shoot in pairs or individually. Archers must pull out their own arrows. If an archer needs to handle someone elses arrows, they must use hand sanitiser afterwards. Equipment may be borrowed from the club, provided it is disinfected by the borrower before being returned. Current hygiene and cleaning policies must be followed, including the cleaning of tables, chairs, target handles and other equipment. Please maintain a distance of (at least) 1.5 metres between people. In line with the 2 square metres rule, the capacity of the club room and equipment room is a total of 12 people. 01.01.2022 Please find below an important message and document from our club president Nick Rowe about changes to behaviour that we are implementing at Yokine Archery Club in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Please note that Come and Try bookings and Beginner Classes have been cancelled for the time being. We will notify you when they can resume. Stay healthy Everyone! To All Members,... In light of the growing Coronavirus pandemic, Yokine Archery Club has issued a directive regarding health and safety. This must be read and complied with prior to your next visit to the club. There may be specific exception regarding domestic flight quarantine. Please consult me regarding the specific arrangements of your travel prior to visiting the club. As well as this, we recommend all members carry and use hand sanitiser regularly while at the club and use their own pens when scoring or signing in. Please read all this information carefully and take care in the coming months. More directives will follow as the situation progresses. Kind Regards, Nicholas Rowe President Yokine Archery Club

01.01.2022 Hi Everyone, If you want to train at home or participate in the home shooting competitions please be aware: Archery Australia Insurance does not cover shooting at home, so if you choose to do this you are doing so at your own risk.... When you are shooting at home, utilise the same safety principles used at the club: Try to ensure 50m behind the target is unoccupied by pedestrians, or have a strong wall behind your target. Try to keep 10 meters on either side of the target clear or have a strong wall next to the target. Ensure the people in your household know youre shooting so they dont accidently walk into your field of view. Finally, double check your site every time you set up. Although most people dont have a 140 metre-long backyard (although we wish we did!), incorporate as many of these safety principles into your at home shooting environment as you can. Stay safe and safe shooting Everyone!

01.01.2022 We all need to stay at home but if you have any space to shoot (distances start from up to 5 metres), World Archery is running a weekly-at-home competition during the COVID19 pandemic, complete with downloadable target faces. (Thanks for the link Raoul)

01.01.2022 Along with the majority of sporting clubs in Australia, Yokine Archery Club is now closed until further notice and members are not to use its facilities at any time. We apologise for any inconvenience this decision has caused and for the rapid changes in policy. We will inform members when it is deemed safe to return to the venue. We wish you all the best and hope to see you as soon as the club reopens
