23.01.2022 Chelsea + Natalia | Proposal Oh, it was such a pleasure to photograph the beautiful moment when Natalia proposed to Chelsea!! It happened at the Japanese garden in Mt. Tamborine. Natalia was originally planning to do this in Japan because Chelsea is half Japanese but they couldn’t go there anytime soon so she decided to do it somewhere like Japan, how lovely is that!!! 11.01.2022 Barbara + Antoine | 10 Year Wedding Anniversary I had the pleasure of capturing Barabara and Antoine's 10 Year Wedding Anniversary. They live in Sydney but they flew into Gold Coast to celebrate their speial day and I got the opportunity to shoot with this beautiful couple. 10.01.2022 Shay + Dustin | Congratulations Here's a sneak peek from Shay and Dustin's wedding at Poorinda. Oh my, what an amaaaaazing wedding it was! It was a quite an overcast day and it was still raining at 3 o'clock when the ceremony was scheduled to start. The ceremony was set up outside in the rain but with a hope of having a wedding outdoors in a beautiful garden.... All the guests, the celebrant and myself were looking outside and wondering what the couple were going to decide. Dustin was on the phone discussing with Shay whether to move the ceremony indoors or to do it outdoors in the rain. When I asked about it to Dustin, Dustin told me that he'll do whatever Shay wants to do, whatever makes her happy! I could see in his eyes how much he adores her. Her call was to wait. Wait for 15 minutes and see what happens. Do you know what happened? The rain got lighter and lighter and at around fifteen past three, it was only spitting very lightly. The decision was to go for an outdoor wedding! And do you know what? After the ceremony started, the rain gradually stopped and remained clear until the reception, which was held at an undercover area. How amazing is that! There was so much laughter and happiness at their wedding and it gave me lots of goose bumps because I felt so happy for them and was honoured to be there. I just want to say thank you so much to Shay and Dustin for choosing me as their wedding photographer and allowing me to be a part of such a beautiful day! 09.01.2022 A little Story of YOSHIKO and I. She is Yoshiko. She is my dear friend from when we were still teens, yes, that’s a long long time ago! But I still remember the day I invited her for a sleepover. When I was a teenager, a sleepover was a special thing to do when I really wanted to get to know the person. We clicked and since then, she has been my special friend. After we went to University, she left Japan to study in Australia. So the only time we could catch up was when she ...came back to Japan. When I think about her, her beautiful big smile is the first thing that pops in my head. She is such a cheerful person but at the same time, a great fighter too. I’m sure there was a time she wanted to give up and go back to Japan, because it’s not an easy task to live and study in another country with a second language. But she accomplished her postgraduate degree and started working here in Australia. I think that in itself deserves huge praise!! She has a beautiful family with 2 boys now. The funny thing about us is that we used to live may be half an hour away by train when we first met and we still live less than an hour away here in Australia. So far far away from home but we still live close to each other and can meet up to have a chat while kids are running around us. In the beginning of this year, I was devastated to hear that she was diagnosed with breast cancer It’s not my place to tell her story so please head to https://www.courageousladies.com.au/blogs/spotlight-blog and read her brave story fighting cancer. I cannot imagine how hard it was to go through the surgery and all the treatments I couldn’t see her because of the corona outbreak, but last month, I could finally see her for the first time after she’d been through an awfully tough time this year. I was soooo soooo happy to see her and her beautiful smile again!! Isn’t she beautiful!! I cannot explain how happy I am to see her live in these photographs. I want her to know how beautiful she is and she can do this because she fought cancer. These photographs are proof of her braveness and strength. October is Breast Cancer awareness month. Please book yourself with GP!! Everyone thinks I’m ok, but that’s not true, a lot of brave post cancer patients like Yoshiko are sharing their stories this month to help others. We have to listen and do what we can do today. Let’s talk about it with your family and friends so we can help yourself and your loved ones.
