22.01.2022 Yolla Consulting wishes everyone a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. Many thanks to all who have worked with us and supported us through-out the year. See you on the other side of 2020 - we will be back in the office on Wednesday 6 January 2021. #smallbusiness #indigenousbusiness #buildingbetterbusinesses

16.01.2022 I love this message from Layne - often as small business owners people see our triumphs and "assume" it was easy. It wasn't. It isn't. For every single success, there were thousands of hours of hard work and just pushing through with sheer determination and bloody-mindedness when you thought you couldn't!! I see you and I know how much work you have done.

04.01.2022 Change of plans!! We were supposed to be delivering our #solidbusiness training in Innisfail this week. But had to make a call on Friday about whether it would go ahead. Central to our decision was the health & wellbeing of the community we would be travelling to. So it will be rescheduled to February hopefully. Lucky I put my January commitments in pencil! But it was also a good reminder to read the #fineprint when making bookings. The booking terms & conditions are long ...and boring but it is important to read them so you know what your refund or reimbursement rights are. No insurance can cover you for pandemic issues anymore so i encourage you to make sure you #readtheterms !! #buildingbetterbusinesses #smallbusinessmatters #indigenousbusiness

03.01.2022 I know at this point it possibly comes off as a little cliched - but I’m going to say it anyway What a year 2020 has been. It’s been a massive year for Yolla Consulting, but we couldn't be prouder of the work we have done upskilling and supporting Queensland small businesses across a range of sectors. We kicked off the year working with the manufacturing sector in South East Queensland before we were all interrupted by COVID and everyone was forced into looking at every asp...Continue reading

02.01.2022 I'm really passionate about consumer laws - as small business owners it's important to know both our obligations and our rights. Returns are one of the challenges of small business. Legally, you only need to agree to take returns if there is a "major problem" with the product. If the customer has just changed their mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided they don't like it anymore, or have no use for it - you have no legal obligation for a refund. If it is your best customer you may want to be a bit more flexible, but its good to know your rights and let them know you are not obliged to do it! https://www.accc.gov.au//consumer-ri/repair-replace-refund
