24.01.2022 Congratulations to Nathan Bryan on his 200th game for the club today, Nathan had a day out with the ball taking 7/24 off his 10 overs. Nathan was on 2 hat tricks during his 10 overs and took 2 fantastic caught and bowled.

23.01.2022 Milestone Game This Saturday our Captain / Coach James Blizzard plays his 300th game for the Yolla Cricket Club. A tremendous achievement Gus becomes the 8th player to reach 300 games in the history of the club and joins his father Brad who played 339 games for Yolla. Gus played his first game for Yolla in 1995 as an 11 year old and lists his most memorable moments as playing with his Dad , scoring 108 on the day his son Jett came to his first game of cricket and last years... semi final where he took a 6 wicket haul to guide the team to a grand final berth. Gus has scored over 4000 runs taken over 100 catches as a wicketkeeper in his early days and now has close to 100 wickets . Off field Gus had a 3 year stint as club President and has been on the committee for a number of years and has been an integral part of the club for many years. From everyone at the YCC all the best on Saturday .

20.01.2022 This Saturday Mathew Smart will become the 17th Yolla player to reach the 200 game milestone. Smarty come to Yolla in season 2003/04 after playing coastal cricket and state underage cricket and played cricket in London in 2007 and 2008. . Smarty has scored 4550 runs at an average 30 and taken 116 wickets for the Dees.He has a top score of 164 vs Penguin in 2004.He was a premiership player in 2013/14 and was A grade captain/coach for 4 seasons in his early days. Maxwell come to the club and was a real Party Dog which lead to numerous nicknames over the years. At least 30 at last count. He has been a popular figure up "The Hill" for many years. 20.01.2022 From all at the Yolla Cricket Club we would like to pass on our condolences to 1 of our rivals on the field Natone Cricket Club on the very sad loss of Kyle Gray at the weekend. Our hearts break for all involved and no words will stop the pain but know we are thinking of you all. To Baldy and family our thoughts are with you and the pain you guys are feeling rite now at this sad time, This sad loss outweighs any rivalry that we have had over the years, from all at the Yolla Cricket Club we wish there was some words to stop your current pain but there isnt. To any of the Yolla Cricket Club guys, please if you are struggling with any issues dont be afraid too reach out and talk to someone. Life can get us down at times but even in the hardest times please know there is always someone around the club that you can talk to. RIP kyle

Ray was a well known figure around and within the club for many years. He always had a smile on his face and loved a good chat when he was around. It was a privelidge to have known ray and i know he will be deeply missed by all. The bcl as of 9:30am this morning have NOT called the round off so this means we must turn up at grounds looking to play and doing our best to get a win.

08.01.2022 PLAYER ANNOUNCEMENTS We would like to announce the return of kaden bracken,Hobie riley and Korey robinson for the 2019/20 BCL season, as past players @ the Yolla Cricket Club, these 3 guys are very handy cricketers all 3 being quiet sharp opening bowlers and fit fast and agile in the field, they will be a very welcome addition for the coming season, we would like to welcome all 3 back to the Demons and wish them the best of luck. Former Hobart Hurricanes player Clive Rose is coming to the Yolla Cricket Club and Burnie Cricket League for a one off game, Come along to see Clive take to the Smithton 's with bat and ball in what is sure to be a great nights T20 cricket. 07.01.2022 This weekend Nathan "Angry" Bryan plays his 200th game in the red and blue. Nicknamed Angry by Paddy Saltmarsh after Angry Anderson he played his first game for Yolla in 2002 as a 12 year old and became a regular player around 2005/06. Angry a local Yolla boy grew up 50m from the ground has been a popular character around the club for years. He was 12th man in the clubs A grade premiership win. Angry has become a vital member of the A Reserve Squad the last few seasons. Go well Saturday old boy. Hawthorn or Brisbane ?
