20.01.2022 There’s no doubt in our minds that Yondah has THE most beautiful private beach on the planet with its turquoise waters and deep golden sand surrounded by towering limestone cliffs, but getting down to it has always been a bit of a challenge! Over the years, Nick has built ‘steps’ from many different ‘durable’ materials but none of them has lasted long in the super corrosive marine environment. Until now. Let’s see if these old tyres can go the distance!

15.01.2022 To all our wonderful friends, did you know that every clean at Yondah takes 2 cleaners 4 hours to complete? That’s a massive 8 hours on every single clean!! And of course you don’t need to see anyone to collect your keys either... they are in a (sanitised) keysafe at the gate. So yes, Yondah is still the perfect place to dream the days away in splendid isolation. Book a stay with us in 2020 between now and 30 April, and if your situation changes you can reschedule your stay. 07.01.2022 I just love this tough little plant... Halgania cyanea. It seems to flower all year round and produces a carpet of vivid blue flowers much-loved by our blue-banded bees. Blue on blue!

01.01.2022 Well here’s a story with a happy ending. This morning Nick and I found this gorgeous girl on a Yorke Peninsula road miles from anywhere. When I called the number on her collar, her family were absolutely over the moon to know she was still alive. Apparently she had been holidaying on YP with them and yesterday morning decided to swim out to play with some seals. There was a lot of splashing and a few yips and suddenly she was gone. Her family searched frantically for her for the rest of the day and then, thinking the worst, had returned home to Adelaide broken-hearted. So you can imagine their delight this morning when she was found. They said it was better than winning the lottery!
