22.01.2022 As of Saturday 5th December, Yongergnow visitors will need to check-in to the premises via the SafeWA app. Our business QR code will be displayed on entry to our Centre. For those who don't have the app, there will be a form for you to fill in OR ask a staff member to show you how to set it up on your mobile phone. Thank you for your cooperation.

Malleefowl have been described as one of the world’s hardest working birds, spending up to 300 days a year digging and maintaining their nest mound with their large and powerful feet. Nest mounds can reach dimensions of over 1 metre high and 4 metres wide! 17.01.2022 I’M GOANNA BURY YOU IF YOU COME NEAR MY BABIES Leigh Warneminde was fascinated to witness an Australian brushturkey digging up dirt on a lace monitor in her... backyard at Yaroomba on the Sunshine Coast. The lizards are well known for raiding eggs from brushturkey mounds and this protective male bird was doing its best to deter it. Leigh has spotted goannas in her beachside garden, on her roof and duelling with a brush turkey on the sand dunes while she has been weeding with the Coolum & North Shore Coast Care group. Male Australian brushturkeys create mounds of dirt and leaves to incubate eggs laid by numerous female birds.
