25.01.2022 Women’s Mental Health Awareness Day was held at YG last Thursday 29th OCT for Mental Health Month. The women enjoyed a presentation from our physiotherapy students who had been with us for five weeks, information, stories from other women, mental health gift bag and bingo! We were overwhelmed from the support we received from local Forbes businesses who donated prizes for the women.

21.01.2022 Exciting Opportunity for Youth! Forbes Shire Council’s Youth Action Team is pleased to launch an exciting new program for 2021, Adulting101! The free program ...begins in February 2021 and runs over ten weeks. Council will work with the 7 contractors to bring the program together to deliver a range of programs including First Aid and CPR, Barista Training, Community Safety and Gambling Awareness, Basic Computers Skills and Resume and Interview Techniques. 19.01.2022 This week is the official celebration of NAIDOC week which is usually held in July, however with the restraints of COVID-19 restrictions, the date was changed. Always Was, Always Will Be is this years NAIDOC theme. The 2020 theme celebrates the oldest culture on the planet, our First Nations culture, going back more than 65, 000 years. The 2020 theme is about empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to continue thriving. Joins us this Friday 13th November at the Forbes Wiradjuri Dreaming Centre for our community NAIDOC celebrations beginning at 4.30pm.

The online learning includes learning for children about being eSafe and learning for parents about their children using popular social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat and more. 07.01.2022 Its National Aboriginal Literacy Day! Here at YG we are launching a Mobile Childrens Library for Aboriginal children. So how does the library work and whats its purpose? ... When: Every Wednesday 3.30pm-4.30pm. The books will be stored on the Yoorana Gunya bus and will be going around to houses. The Mobile Childrens Library will have the same protocols as a typical library, except its on wheels! Children must sign their book in and out when its returned. Children will not receive another book unless their borrow is returned. Reading has some amazing benefits, research shows reading has great health benefits and makes us feel better and positive. 02.01.2022 COVID-19 NSW Hotspot update

02.01.2022 COVID-19 testing clinics are available through the week Monday, Wednesday & Friday in Hill Street behind Yoorana Gunya and the JREC Facility. Patients must obtain a referral from their GP. Any YG patients who believe they have COVID-19 symptoms, please call reception to organise a GP appointment conducted via the phone. The GP will then send you a direct referral to the drive through clinic.

01.01.2022 If patients are unable to bring a mask with them to their appointment, one of our health workers will provide them with one, prior to entering the premises. Please respect our procedures in ensuring safety to our patients and staff. Lets all work together, stay safe and healthy!
