Not every industry has the luxury of being able to see actual results from a hard days work come to fruition. Handing over the homes that we are so proud to build is literally what drives us. It’s why we do what we do. Its why we get up in the morning. It’s where our hearts are. Which is why today on ‘R U OK’ day on behalf of the building industry, we feel it needs t...o be said... 99% of the clients that we are lucky enough to build for literally rock the party, but there is that 1% that can choose to be... well. unkind. Let’s be honest, building a home does not always go to plan. There are many moving parts (like. A lot.) there are architects, designers, trades, sub-trades, engineers, deliveries, structural elements, weather, scope changes, council modifications, client indecision, human error and our own mistakes to be accounted for. And like in any business, sometimes there are set backs. These things happen. It seems like coming out of the compounded pressure of Coronavirus and isolation that we as builders have experienced a minority of individuals to be unkind. We just wanted to say, particularly today, that we are all human. Life can be hard. Especially on the days that knock us down, stand back up.
