04.01.2022 York is set to host what could be Australia's first national botanic art prize. Entrants are being asked to create (draw, sculpt, photograph, film, etc) a pi...ece on flowers native to Western Australia. It doesn't have to be a scientific piece, just native to WA. Jenny Garroun from the York Botanic Art Prize said Western Australia is a great spot for the prize, thanks to the incredible diversity of wildflowers in the state. "The range of entries we're receiving is incredible, so it's really exciting because we haven't seen anything like this before," she said. Expressions of interest are open until Sunday 12 July, and the exhibition will be held in York from 31 October, 2020.
