25.01.2022 Good Morning Everyone, Paul and I hope you are all keeping well and warm on these cold rainy days. We would like to say a Big Thank you for all of you guys who booked our suite on our limited deal. It was so successful that we will do it again at a later date . We have a lot of events coming up in the next few months .... Sunday 26th August we have the York Motor Show entry is FREE . The 1st of September is The York Show , lots to see and do on this day the town will be buzzing. Let's hope the weather is kind to us all. Also on the 1st of September we have The York Cycling Event for all of you that like to keep fit :):). The Canola Festival kicks off on 8th of September and finishes on the 7th of October. The field's a round York are already turning a beautiful yellow colour. We will keep you informed about up coming event's. 24.01.2022 Hello Everyone, I bet everyone is looking forward to the weekend :). We have a busy weekend again this weekend and throughout next week. The York Festival is now over and what a great success it was. Paul and I were booked out most of the time.... In between doing the court house and meals on wheels I feel like I need a holiday !! I know a good place to stay hahaha. There are still lots of things going on in the town in the coming months. We have a All Ford Day Classic Car Cruise On the 28th October . There are 3 starting points . Kingsway Gateway, Cockburn Gateway and Midland Gate. All cruises depart at 10.30am. For more information go to www.facebook.com/allfordday. Town will be a buzz I am sure. So why not either join the cruise or come up for the day and have a look a round . Perhaps stay the night and have a nice evening meal in town . We offer 2 beautiful rooms, Magpie Room - located within the back of the main house and the Willy Wagtail Room - located within the patio area. Both rooms have their own private access from the garage port area through the patio. Rooms are subject to availability upon booking request.... We will do our best to update our page regularly with upcoming events, special promotions and photos of what's been happening at the lodge. As part of our service - we offer and provide guests with a contentential breakfast with a variety of hot and cold condiments, free WiFi, Netflix, Telstra TV, room amenities of coffee and tea facilities, in room fridge, private seating area and a private bathroom facility. 17.01.2022 Hello Everyone, First of all Paul and I hope you are all keeping well and managing to get through all the hot weather we have had. York as been very hot some days but I have to say it does cool down at night which is great at least you can sleep . We have been busy with the B&B, yes I know who would have thought at this time of the year. Mainly people from overseas where it is freezing cold....... We have a lot going on in York in February, I will put the calendar up for you to have a look at. In April the whole of April we have so much happening .. I will post the calendar when I receive it from the town hall. We are already getting bookings for that month . But guys it will be worth a drive to York then so much free things to do for the family in this Heritage Month in April. And it will be a lot cooler . Well everyone I had better go and get dinner ready for Valentines Day I hope you all remembered that it is today !! See more

06.01.2022 Hello Everyone, Well it is a windy sunny day in York just waiting on guest's to arrive . Thank you to everyone who left reviews that stayed in the Bed and Breakfast Paul and I are glad you enjoyed your stay with us . The Motor Show was a big success the town was packed out . I am told they are doing it again next year .... The Cycling event went well to, that seems like hard work to me, we had a lady staying with us that came second :) At the moment there is a Hay Bale Challenge going on, all a round town different things made of hay are popping up. There are a few things i would like to draw your attention to . on the 8th and 6th of October we have the Spooky Tales Night Tour there is a $5 per person charge children under 5 free. Venue is York Town Hall it starts at 5.30pm, so if you are in town it is worth checking out. The Medieval Fayre on the 23 September would be a good day out to. It is held at Avon Park : cost $5 per person children free. These are just a few things happening in town for more information pop on to yorkfestival.com.au and have a look. 06.01.2022 Hello Everyone, Jeanette here, one of your hosts at York's lookout lodge. Sorry I have not been on for a while, life gets hectic but I am going to make an effort to drop you a line with all the events that are coming up here in York. And there are many starting with April the 11th. We have a antique and collectable event held in the lovely Town Hall building on Avon Terrace .... It runs for three days the 11th, 12th, and 13th of April. It only costs $3.00 to enter. This event is held every year so why not have a nice drive to York and pop in and find a treasure. You will see Paul there (my other half and co-host), we have a stall there. I will pop in between guest's arriving . So please say hello to both if you pop in . All the eateries will be open . The court house is opened again YAY, we were closed for the very hot summer, the coolest place in the court house is the cells and I do not fancy being in there for long .
