25.01.2022 Rebuilding. You don't have to be a Hollywood star to have a problem. It doesn't have to be as big as this. But YOU have to decide to take action, seek guidance and take the first step.
24.01.2022 As initial reaction gives way to reality make sure to check in with yourself and reach out if you don't feel right. Phone a friend, talk to a neighbour. If that's not enough seek professional advice. This is uncharted territory, there is no right way, but there is a way. Stay safe
20.01.2022 Put the past behind you. It's never too late to change. No one has a perfect life but it can be close and it's never too late. #rttworks #upgradeyourlife
20.01.2022 So excited only two more sleeps until I attend the Shine 2020 Conference. Learning from some of the best experts in integrative and functional health. Looking forward to adding to my tool bag so that I can help my clients even more. If nothing else this year has opened up opportunities that previously would have meant travelling and taken huge chunks of time and energy. What has this year given you? There is always something positive to be found/learned, even in the middle of something as devastating as a pandemic.
19.01.2022 While childhood trauma can't be "undone" the long term effects can definitely be managed. Many of my clients had past traumas that impacted their lives in multiple ways including their health. Often times they are surprised at the link but changing the meaning of past events is so freeing. #RTTworks #LovewhatIdo
19.01.2022 To be in a state of wellness starts with a thought. A daily affirmation like this is a good start.
18.01.2022 A beautiful way to express what many are feeling right now. It's ok to not be ok. Reach out, stay safe, this too shall pass.
17.01.2022 It's RUOK day. So are you? It's ok to not be ok but reach out. Or maybe you know someone who might need some love. Share or comment below if this resonates. Care
16.01.2022 Did you know that negative emotions alert your mind that something is wrong? This puts your body in a state of alert. To prepare you for fight or flight it slows down your immune system. No need for that if we're about to be eaten by T Rex right . Problem is the response is the same even if the threat isn't. The solution lies in dealing with your emotions. Leaving them smouldering or suppressing them and hoping they will go away might feel like it works. Problem is the pres...sure of carrying it builds up. If you can't deal with it your body will speak for you. Think of a stressful time in your life. Did you get sick more often than usual? Or maybe you had constant headaches. A niggly pain? I learnt the hard way. I had a LOT of suppressed grief. I put it aside and soldiered on and I paid for it with years of health issues. Working through all that "stuff" got me my health back. Don't wait for your wake up call. Be well! See more
12.01.2022 So exciting! I feel we are on the verge of a paradigm shift in medicine. We have the capacity to heal ourselves. This Ted talk sheds light on the causes of Dis-ease. Understanding is power! Take charge of your health, it starts with you.
10.01.2022 As we continue to deal with the circumstances that we find ourselves in know that there is a reason for why you feel the way you do. Science has some of the answers as outlined here. Our past experiences influence our reactions. If you are struggling reach out. Communication and connection with others is so important. Just being able to say oh yeah me too, or feel that someone gets it. What are you struggling with the most?
08.01.2022 Might feel strange and maybe even awkward. It's the best way forward right now. Together we can beat this.
08.01.2022 Finding it hard to stay on track? This might help. Not recommending any particular supplements but this is a good read. Be well.
08.01.2022 If I had to pick something this would be the hardest thing I had to learn. When I was 14 my father died suddenly. My mother had spinal surgery and I had to step up and become the surrogate parent to three younger sisters. I also took on housework, yardwork you name it, it became my job. Then it became just what I always did no matter what. I ignored my needs until I got too sick to do any of it. I had to learn to pay attention to me. How full is your cup?
07.01.2022 No real surprise here. Our lifestyle needs a shake up. Easier said than done? Help is available. #rttworks
04.01.2022 Good solid advice here. Acknowledge your feelings.
02.01.2022 In my nursing days I had days like these. Later I found myself in a situation where someone very close to me became aggressive and unstable due to drug use. That person had unaddressed past trauma. It affected my health badly. I was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis. Thing is it doesn't need to be this level of traumatic experience to effect you. Discounting how you feel, putting on a brave face are just bandaids. The body will speak for you. Fortunately I have healed. It too...k years and then I found Marisa Peer and trained with her in RTT and hypnotherapy. To my surprise I discovered that a lot of my problems were due to decisions made by my subconscious mind as a child. Letting them go has changed my life. Many of my clients have healed and are back living free from the fear and anxiety. Don't wait for it to go away or suppress your feelings.. you deserve better. #rttworks See more
