23.01.2022 Here is a great way to learn fractions with LEGO After a short exercise, you can make your combinations and ask your child to guess the fraction. Fun and easy... to learn. We love "learning is childs play". 22.01.2022 CREATING A MECHANICAL ADVANTAGE USING PULLEYS Last week weve learned how to lift heavy objects using a power increasing gear transmission. This week were learning how to lift heavy objects by creating a mechanical advantage using pulleys.

21.01.2022 STEM classes are back for Stage 3 and as usual our students are loving the learning experiences.

19.01.2022 Summer Camp at Kogarah Library # First Class # students built Flying Man and learned how circular motion were converting into linear motion.

18.01.2022 Our robotic coding program Robo Bricks combined with Agile coding provides children with a theoretical and practical introduction to technology, software engine...ering, mathematics and entrepreneurship. In this program, we build a different robots every week using LEGO parts, and then we program the robot to perform the desired functions using the LEGO WeDo application. In addition, our students learn how to use the necessary narrative skills, think algorithmicly, and develop a project for a successful presentation at the end of the term. As we all know, these skills are quite critical for the 21st century # robobricks See more

12.01.2022 ROBO BRICKS PRESENTATIONS WEEK Abbotsleigh Amazing presentations by the Robobricks class!! How amazing to see these girls talk about mechanical concepts, agile... coding principles & relate their outcome to solving a problem. Were not after perfect presentations. The most important thing is for the children to have a go at applying the storybook matrix to develop a software solution, and to be able to talk about it. ***Enrolment for term 4 is OPEN and available via our website http://nssydney.young-engineers.com.au/enrolment/

07.01.2022 STEM is an educational philosophy based on four specific disciplines science, technology, engineering and mathematics in an interdisciplinary and applied ap...proach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.
