10.01.2022 Oakey residents we want to give youth some options to create change in their community! If you know anyone Male or Female aged 16- 24 who's looking for something to do then this project is for them... Maybe they want to be a youth worker... Maybe they've given up on school... And maybe they're ready to step up and do some very cool stuff as well as learn all the techniques of becoming a youth worker, community/ health worker or Changemaker - or maybe they just want help with ...getting their drivers licence... Maybe they want to create art in your town? Music? Festivals? Maybe you just want to save your mates life... Whatever it is then now's your time to step up! Feel free to contact or drop into the library or council building to find out more! Please feel free to share and contact us with any questions you may have. #limitedSpots #BeTheChange #CommunityWorker101 See more

03.01.2022 #TheRealBroCode #NeverAlone #lookafteryourbruthas Every day, six Australian males are committing suicide.* Not really surprising considering the fact that we live in a culture where boys are taught from a young age to deal with things themselves, just 'brush it off' or not share their struggles with their mates. They're pushed into isolation, and this isolation is damaging. ... We believe that for a man to have deep, solid friendships is the best suicide prevention there is. Having some close mates to do life with - with all its ups and downs. That's one of the reasons why we recommend "The Real Bro Code" - a new book on the topic of friendship - published by the leading organisation dedicated to empowering boys' and men's friendships. This book is thought provoking yet easy to read -and it invites the reader to really reflect over their own friendships like they've never done before. Check it out, we're pretty sure you'd like it. Take care guys, - The Brothers team. *Lifeline.org.au
