19.01.2022 Carers ACT is deeply saddened by the news today of the death of Sue Salthouse. Sue has made an enormous contribution to the disability sector and has been a strong advocate of people with disability for many many years. She has been a source of inspiration for many people and has worked tirelessly to ensure that the rights of people with disability are upheld in all aspects of community. Her loss is significant and we will miss her presence and wisdom. Vale Sue. We miss you already.

Please participate in this anonymous survey An assessment of minimum standards for accessible housing commissioned by the "Australian Building Codes Board" found that the cost of setting minimum standards in all new buildings to make them accessible will "exceed the benefits". The Melbourne Disability Institute is collecting your experience to prove to the Building Board that making all buildings accessible improves the quality of life, wellbeing and mental health of people with physical disability.
