02.01.2022 What is decontamination? Ive had this questions asked a few times so Ill address it here for everyones knowledge. Decontamination is a crucial step in the detailing process. When the road is hot, tiny fragments of tar, road grime and iron filings from your cars brakes fling up and stick into the paint due to the heat. The contaminants can be hard to see and sometimes invisible. This can cause that "rough" feeling on your paintwork.... To decontaminate the car, we will use a safe ph balanced fallout remover which sprays on clear and breaks down the contaminants turning them purple in the process. We the use a clay bar to pick up any heavily embedded particles. Without these steps, you will never achieve a proper finish on the paint and it can cause a lot of damage to buffing machines and pads. Here are a few photos of the fallout remover in action.
