The letter reflects on their journey in Young Endeavour and the goals they want to achieve as they take their new-found skills back into the real world. The letters are sent to Youthies six months after their voyage ends @elly_mccauley received her letter last week and said "I'm so happy to say that I'm following so many of the goals I set myself.... Keith was born and bred in New Zealand and started his career in the New Zealand Navy as a Signalman. Keith then joined the Australian Navy in 2007 as a Hydrographic Survey Operator, serving on 5 survey ships all based out of Cairns. ... Keith sees his posting in Young Endeavour as an opportunity to pass on life skills and seamanship knowledge to future generations.
