24.01.2022 Having fun at Waverley College!

24.01.2022 From contacting Young Engineers to a finalised and booked school incursion that supplements the class curriculum, all in a record time of 24 hours! You won't beat a record like that!! See you soon Holy Family Catholic Primary School.

20.01.2022 All ready to go for the school holiday camp. Lots of fun facts to give to the children about historical inventions. The best part: learning about all of these while immersed in Lego! See you soon!

19.01.2022 Enquiry and problem based learning.

18.01.2022 Did you miss our exciting Lego camp in the Shire? Then this one is not to be missed. Enjoy a yummy lunch along with our workshop at The Den, Engadine!! Tag someone below that you think deserves some time out! Looking forward to seeing you there. Angela

15.01.2022 How can a group of people constantly get up and down a mountain without destroying the natural flora and fauna? Put your answers below. Camdenville Public School P&C

14.01.2022 We extended on last week's conveyor belt model which helped post office workers sort out 1 million parcels a day. Today it was understanding how heavy objects can be lifted and moved around in an experiment with a multi-pulley system. But what was really amazing was seeing children applying the knowledge they had last week and applying that in today's build with a customised Bronte School Post Office system: Combining the conveyor and pulley!

08.01.2022 It means so much when I get a feedback like that. Thank you for taking the time to write to me!

07.01.2022 A forklift is a vehicle used to lift and carry loads from one place to another. As engineers, we are getting very familiar with creating movement in the horizontal direction and that’s why this week we were immensely challenged when we also need to create movement in the vertical direction for the fork to go up and down. What do you think of our robotic forklift?

06.01.2022 Happy birthday A and M! We loved being there today to help you celebrate!

05.01.2022 What an amazing day I had with my new and returned students at our first Young Engineers spring holiday camp. You were such amazing engineers because you were curious, you worked together as a team and you overcame lots of challenges! Can't wait to see you next time!

05.01.2022 Having lots of fun at Bronte Public School while supplementing their "Package It Better" science unit this term. Do you know how Australia Post handles 1 million packages a day? Through their amazing package sorting facilities that houses robots, scanners and conveyor belts!

04.01.2022 As our home Lego bricks quantity grew steadily over the last many years, it has become difficult to store and maintain them. We went through draw string bags, and now they are just sitting in a large tub. My children are not keen to build at the moment because sifting and searching through the tub is not fun. So I seeked help from some wise OZLUG members. Everyone was so helpful giving me ideas how to catalogue and store Lego and this morning, I spent a small investment into ...some cool storage compartments by Akro-Mils A lot of the easier options is to use storage and food containers from Bunnings or Kmart. But what I love about my choice is that these trays make it more compact and they DON'T have a lid. Can you imagine the kids needing to open 10 lids to get the different pieces they want, having all the lids lying around on the floor as they build, and then they need to close each one of those lids at the end when they're done? Hence my final decision to go with Akro-Mils stackable storage compartments. Looks like it will be our Christmas project to catalogue all our Lego inventory .
