22.01.2022 Throwback to a fortnight ago when we did not know that will be our last face to face meeting What a wonderful last meeting to have though! A full house with so many familiar faces and new friends we also had the privilege to hear from Shil who inspired us all to chase after our own dreams. Do what makes you happy We celebrated our new members Ben, Joey and Alex. We also celebrated Natalia our new Vice President of Education! We continue the night with dinner together at the lovely S&T Thai restaurant Cant wait till this is all over and we can meet again Till then, Stay Home and Join In our Online Meetings!!

18.01.2022 NEXT WEEK'S MEETING WILL BE ONLINE Hi everyone, With all that is happening with the coronavirus, Toastmasters International have advised us that all Area, Division and District Events can no longer be conducted in person, on or prior to June 1st 2020. Instead, we are advised to do it online.... To protect all of us including our guests from the risk, we are making our next few meetings online until the situation improves. Online meetings just like Public Speaking takes skill to communicate effectively with the audience. With more companies and countries taking social distancing measures, it is important that we learn how to do this well. Since this is a First for our club, the committee and myself will be attending an online training tonight to learn how to run a successful online meeting. I will let you know about our next few meetings once it is ready - Watch this Space! :) I will really miss all of you and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but we all know this is the right way forward. 03.01.2022 "Toastmasters is boring." Words that we'll bet have never been said. Words that we'd daresay have been said however,... "Toastmasters is basically psychological bungee jumping" Except with Toastmasters, the bungee jump is literally zero risk - you cannot go splat. You do however experience the same anticipatory rush, the same encouragement and support from comrades to take the leap and the same euphoric sense of achievement once you've done it. Last Tuesday was no different! Loved the inspiring speeches delivering tales of perseverance, life lessons and raw emotion. And Table Topics - what a blast! Nailed by a new member prompting us to ponder philosophical conundrums - win! Silky smooth evaluations to wrap up a fun session with perhaps a record breaking number of guests! Maybe the word got out that our superb Toastmaster would treat us to #KrispyKremes on the night to celebrate his birthday... Tuesday. 11th August.
