24.01.2022 So this pulls up in front of the shop this morning with husband and daughter aboard...its our turn for a holiday im told and where else on our mighty river murray on a 5 star boat that husband Robert Brennnan has worked on....weeeellll he always manages to pull something out the hat...so after madly packing for the past 1.5 hrs we are off for a week.....how ever at such short notice im sorry for any inconvience the shop will be closed for this time...opening back thursday 22nd March. Thankyou....we sure do need this. Long overdue.....see u wen my batteries are recharged

23.01.2022 I realise its last minute, but its good news, Easter Bunny has decided again to stop and leave some eggs at the shop for all the kid's at younghusband . So if u are 12 years old or younger please come along and meet at the shop 9am sharp to join us in the hunt. Bring ur baskets, entry is free all we ask is that the older children consider the younger. THIS EASTER SUNDAY 9AM SHARP.

19.01.2022 Big thankyou guys, wow wat a weekend for us, where did u all come from...knew the weather was going to be nice, thought i had it covered...didn't organise a lot of help and thanks to Brett Hodges for his help, despite the fact we did have a few barnys lol we were slammed, looks like the shop has been hit with a bomb.....and yeah i havnt felt so exhausted in a long time, good exhausted . Thanks guys really appreciate it.

17.01.2022 Absolutely exhausted, if i didnt feel like this then it wouldnt have been a goodweekend, thankyou everyone from my heart for supporing my little shop over the weekend, i may have bags under my eyes that hang to my chin, and a headache the size of my head, my hair on end and my shop looks like a tornado been thru , it shouldnt be any other way.....so THANKYOU and please those of u travelling today, ur tired i know , be extra safe and see you next time....love from the shop lady....Julie

16.01.2022 This afternoon i had the pleasure of a visit from James Baker who is the son of the author of the wonderful Murray River Pilot book. Every resident or shack owner , and houseboat owner should have one. Im selling them in store for $25.00 ea . Full of local information and maps. Its a sort after book. Totally revamped and user friendly , larger maps etc. Please private message me if u would lime one put aside for you....I can always get more. Thanks......Julie

14.01.2022 Julies junk corner we call it, do u have and preloved things u wish to dispose of feel free to bag them and leave them outside the shop, someones elses junk can be anothers treasure, however please if u consider it rubbish then it most likely is, my shop not a dumping grounds, good quality second hand goods g However greatly appreciated, in need atm of books , dvds etc....thankyou

09.01.2022 Looking to go fishing over Easter long weekend, get ur supplies from the general store....we have a fresh supply or rods, sinkers , hooks, bells and ready to go river rigs....as well as WORMS yes we finally have live worms back in store...$6.50 per punnett.

02.01.2022 Now stocking one of my daughters....Hollys jam, creamed and runny honey. Plum jam easy flow 500 gram pots $6.00 ea and her small creamed honey $7 and let me assure u its delicious and also normal runny honey. Holly is a stay at home mum living out her dteam , starting her own business selling her products, she will also be helping me in the shop this year good friday and Easter monday. . Pop in and see her place ur orders qith her directly if it suits and i will also have some there for sale. Most of u would remember Holly in her younger years helping out in the shop along with all her other sisters.
