08.01.2022 **Support Group for Parents with teens who are experiencing mental health or behavioural concerns** We understand that parenting a teenager can be confusing and challenging at times. Add to the mix the complexities of parenting a teenager living with mental illness or exhibiting behavioural concerns and parents can find themselves feeling lost, heartbroken and desperately needing some support and guidance. Our parenting support group brings together other parents who can... relate to what you are going through. Guided by a counsellor, the groups will discuss different topics each week, sharing and providing each other the tools needed to support your family effectively. Testimonials: "Together with the sharing of experiences with other families, I found the strategies that Libby suggested to ‘take home’ were brilliant. Putting them in place around the dining room table or in conversation with my family proved to be invaluable" "An invaluable experience for us. The ease of communication flow and Libby's ability to address the queries with a good knowledge of mental health and genuine responses to situations we may come across. The interaction with other parents, despite the differences of our situations, was also beneficial. We will definitely keep an eye out for any follow-on programs that will be of good content for our family."
