10.01.2022 Hi Everyone. Barrier Place will remain open next week but we need to let you know: For all personal care and close contact, staff will wear masks at both Barrier Place and in-home support. Under NO circumstances will staff take participants into high risk areas such as shopping centres. We had planned on going out to parks for walks this week but that has been cancelled for the foreseeable future. All activities will be centre based Shopping for lunches will be via home deliv...ery or click and collect. No participants will engage in this activity other than to help pick items on the laptop at the centre. We request that if a YCS participant, their family or support worker from another service presents with ANY COVID symptom that you do not attend the day service until you have returned a negative COVID test. We also request that as much as possible you be vigilant in your activities outside of the day service by staying away from high risk areas and crowded spaces for fear of passing on the virus to other participants. If any of our staff present with any COVID symptom then they must self-isolate until they return a negative test result. In this instance, you will be informed immediately if you have had contact with a positive staff member. If a staff member has had contact with a known case then they must isolate for 14 days and return a negative test before returning to work. Stay safe. X
