17.01.2022 CANCER SCREENING || Cancer screening is one of the most effective ways to detect early signs of cancer. Making your health a priority is more important then ever so we encourage you to make sure your health checks are up to date. Recommended cancer screening tes...ts include; * BOWEL SCREEN are recommended every two years for those aged 50-74. We encourage you to return bowel screening test kits, or request replacements if needed by calling 1800 118 868. If you have any symptoms such as change in bowel habit or a family history of bowel cancer please discuss with your doctor. * CERVICAL SCREENING TESTS are recommended 5 yearly for Females aged 25-74. 17.01.2022 CHANGES TO TELEHEALTH CONSULTATIONS Due to the COVID 19 pandemic - From the 1st October 2020, the Government has extended the availability of temporary Telehealth services until March 2021. They have however, ceased the bulk billing incentive for telehealth. This means we can no longer bulk bill telehealth consults and a private fee will apply. You will still receive a medicare rebate if you have attended our practice in the last 12 months. Face to face appointments are a...vailable and we have put the following measures in place to keep you and our staff safe. * All patients will be screened by staff when they call to make an appointment or attend our practice for any flu like symptoms, positive COVID 19 contacts or recent travel to any hotspots. Please be honest with your answers to avoid putting others at risk we can still assess you initially with a telehealth appointment. * Please wear a mask when attending our practice * Please use hand sanitiser when entering and leaving the practice * Please adhere to social distancing guidelines. This means we can only fit 7 people in our waiting room so if things are getting a bit crowded you may be asked to wait outside in our garden or in your car. * Online bookings via our hotdoc app is available for telehealth appointments only so please call our reception staff if you would prefer a face to face appointment. 10.01.2022 WE ARE HERE FOR YOU || To reduce the risk of spread of COVID 19 to our vulnerable patients and our staff we have transitioned to Telehealth consultations (via telephone at this stage). Our online bookings through the HOTDOC app are now available for Telehealth appointments. This way you can stay home and stay safe. We understand some medical concerns and health checks cannot be done over the phone so there will be some circumstances where a face to face consult will still b...e required and we can organise this once our doctors have spoken to you. Please call our reception staff on 43654999 if you have any questions. We understand this is a big, but necessary, change to how we run our practice and we are unsure how long this temporary measure will be in place. Remember we are here for you during this stressful and uncertain time. Stay tuned on how we will be conducting our socially distanced influenza vaccine clinics ........ coming soon. #telehealth #covid19 #stayathomeusethephone #socialdistancing #yourfamilydoctors #generalpractice

Help us stop the spread this Halloween. COVID-safe tips if you plan to trick-or-treat NSW Health recommends: * If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 this Halloween, stay home and give trick-or-treating a miss this year. Get tested immed...iately * Keep it local by staying in your suburb rather than going to well-known treat streets that attract crowds * Celebrate outside, don’t go to people’s front door * Stay in small household groups rather than groups of young people together. Remember, no more than 30 people can gather outside in a public place * Stay 1.5 meters away from people you don’t live with * Only take treats that are individually wrapped. * Don’t share your treats with others from different households * Don’t share costumes or costume face masks * Carry hand sanitiser with you and use it often, especially after touching common surfaces.
