23.01.2022 Disability support workers (Casual) Your life your choice care services Darwin NT.... YLYCCS is a fast-growing organization that provide services to people with various disabilities. We are looking for passionate support workers with the focus in Tiwi Island, jabiru, Katherine, and Darwin areas. This roles includes supporting people with various disabilities and behaviours of concern. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing care: Assisting with care needs Facilitating community accesses Assisting with medication and other duties as specified on clients plans Developing the clients daily living skills, Promoting clients’ independence and personal goals. Candidate must meet the following criteria: 6 months + paid experience supporting clients with complex needs and challenging behaviours Valid first AID and CPR Cert (dated within 1 years) Valid national police check Ochre card Minimum cert III in mental health, Cert III or IV in disability, aged care or individual support Current C class driver’s license and own a car with comprehensive insurance Must be available to work flexibility across the day( shifts can be long or short and vary between AM, PM and nights shifts) NDIS workers orientation module Certificate. Manual handling Cert. Desirable criteria: Knowledge of NDIS and personal centred approach, therapeutic practise, peg feeding, administering medication and experience supporting clients who displaying challenging behaviours. Benefits: Flexible work arrangements. 24 hours call in case of emergencies Competitive hourly rate paid above the award.
