22.01.2022 Wow - this one was something special! NZ/Melbourne artist and all-round ace human Kerryn Fields dropped in to entertain the DARTS Social Support group in the Christmas edition of Name that Tune. Delivering a stunning version of "Mele Kalikimaka" and hanging out online with us for a good hour delivering truly original carols, jokes and good times. What a way to finish a challenging 2020. Kerryn - you were brilliant. Thank you. And just wait until the new year when we share her... original tune. A tear jerker. Merry Christmas everyone and here's to a 2021 filled with music and laughter.

We asked our clients what they needed during these restrictions and isolating times and then delivered new online and offline services and supports to suit them. 16.01.2022 Theres still a week to go until the Young Carers Bursary applications close on 8 September at 5pm AEST. The Young Carer Bursary helps young carers who are currently studying or training or will be in 2021. It offers $3000 to eligible young carers to support their studies. 15.01.2022 Our Social Support clients recently received a lovely surprise in the form of a care package on their doorsteps from Your Side! To help them with social isolation during these times, our team has put together a fun package filled with meaningful activities for them to keep busy. Some things inside the pack included: A puzzle book to stimulate the mind. A recipe book of simple healthy meals.... A packet of seeds to grow in time for Spring. 14.01.2022 Well Sydney - it has been another twist to start 2021 and we all have to do our part to stay safe and connected at the same time during this recent COVID-19 cluster. To start the new year we though it appropriate to share a beautiful and original love song from NZ/Melb musician Kerryn Fields who joined the DARTS social support group for Name that Tune recently. It tugged pretty hard on the ol' heartstrings and we all shed a little tear saying goodbye to an uncertain and chall...enging 2020 and hoping for blue skies in 2021. Regardless - we are on Your Side.

12.01.2022 Meet Adnan. He is 15 years old and is the carer for his mum, Lama, who has Pompe disease, which makes her muscles weaker than they should be. Me and mum visited a doctor, and he explained to me in detail what it meant for my mum to have the disease. Meeting people in similar caring situations and sharing stories, knowledge and experiences can be powerful, healing and reduce loneliness....
