25.01.2022 Wedding cake trends are changing! Couples are moving away from traditional cakes (especially fruit cake) and towards different options. Brownie towers, donut walls, cupcakes, dessert stations (ask some family members to each cook something and end up with 20 different options), cheese stations & wheels, ice cream bars... the list never ends. Dont be afraid to think outside the (dessert) box! . . #weddingcake #weddingcakesideas #engagement #cakesofinstagram #desserttable #donutwall #dessertofinstagram #cheesecake #cheesestation #weddingplanner #weddingplanning #cakes
25.01.2022 So... what if it rains on your wedding day?! Even if your ceremony is inside, there are others things to consider - but you can plan ahead! Look at alternate photo locations beforehand (either indoors, or adorable matching umbrellas/gumboots) | push back your ceremony entrance 15 minutes if needed to allow your guests more time | check in with your suppliers (make up, hair, transport) if they are on time & strategise together staying on time | dedicate a person (not ...you!) to contact guests if a change of time/venue is required... but at the end of the day, MAKE THE MOST OF IT! They say rain is good luck, and some of the best photos are of a loved up couple, huddled together under an umbrella . . . #rain #weddingplanning #engagement #planningahead #weddingplanner #rainisgoodluck #weddingphotography #goodluckvibes

24.01.2022 Wedding venue or wedding at home?! #weddingdecisions
24.01.2022 Do I make my own decorations or hire a company to do it? Its becoming increasingly popular to couples to make their own - and its not always about cost ! Sometimes suppliers dont have exactly what you imagined, or you simply love the idea of making it yourself! Regardless of the reason, DIY-ing your wedding decorations is on the rise. Hot tip: If you steer away from fresh centrepieces (flowers and greenery), you can make these months in advance. The list is endless... Ca...ndle arrangements , paper flowers, photo frames , eclectic bottles & jars , lanterns, birdcages, wooden slabs, artificial succulents ... where do I stop?! Whether a sit down or stand up wedding, more couples are making their own decorations. By avoiding fresh flora, you can remove a huge stress (by not having to make these two days before your wedding ). You can have them packed up ready to go before your seating plan is even finalised! . . . #weddingplanning #centrepieces #weddinginspo #diy #diyweddingdecor #weddingcentrepiece #engagement #weddingplanner #diyinspiration See more

22.01.2022 In these times of uncertainty, its quite sweet to reflect on what was once normal. For instance, in 1970 the average wedding age was 22. Now, 50 years on, Australias average age of marriage is 29. Our wedding landscape may have temporarily changed, but we will bounce back... with more weddings than ever before! . .... . #weddingtrends #marriage #weddingplanner #wedding #love #weddingplanning See more
21.01.2022 It was tipped earlier this week that outdoor weddings and elopments will become the newest trend post COVID. So, lets discuss... Heres 10 reasons to consider eloping! 1) LIMITS: With COVID restrictions, it could be a while until larger weddings are allowed. Event limits in some states currently mean even parents and grandparents cant both attend. Eloping eliminates choosing who gets to be there 2) BUDGET: COVID has affected almost every family in some way, and wit...h financial implications comes stretched wedding budgets. Eloping is a significantly cheaper option 3) TRAVEL: International travel (not to mention interstate) is on hold, so friends and family from overseas may not be able to attend... And those who can will need to factor several more weeks for quarantining on either end 4) TIME: Most receptions average 5 hours, with 97 guests. By the time you take out eating, speeches and other formalities, thats less than 2 minutes to talk to each guest. Theres definitely an appeal to spend those 5 hours with your new spouse! 5) SET UP: Weddings during COVID need to consider seating and spacing for social distancing and peace of mind for guests 6) YOUR DAY: Remember, your wedding day is YOUR day! Eloping can remove a lot of unnecessary drama 7) STRESS: Dont get me wrong, eloping is still stressful. But it doesnt include seating plans, invitations, menus, bonbonierres and many other standard wedding tasks 8 ) PHOTOS: With COVID, photos embracing your guests, and close group shots are indefinitely on hold 9) AVAILABILITY: With so many weddings now pushed to 2021, venue and supplier availability will be limited over the next 18 months 10) JUST YOU & ME: After one doozy of a year, wouldnt it be beautiful to start your married life with a focus on just the two of you? You can see why getting hitched privately is appealing! . . #wedding #eloping #weddingplanning #COVID19wedding #engaged #planningincovid #marriage #justmeandyou #weddingplanner #elopement #weddingtrends #weddinginspo

17.01.2022 Writing your guest list is one of the hardest wedding tasks... well, apart from the seating plan! . Weddings trends are changing constantly! Sit down vs stand up ? Standard cake vs cheese wheels ? Garden vs church ceremony ? And guest list trends are no different! Australian weddings used to be averaging 120 guests, but the number is now on the decline. There are a range of reasons for this... but regardless, its important to write your wedding list early on . It can determine your venue due to capacity, budgeting, and not overpromising invites. Although 97 is the average, remember what matters is having those you love with you on your big day! . . . #weddingtrends #guestlist #weddingplanner #love #weddingday #engaged #guests #seatingplan #weddingplanning

14.01.2022 These times, they are a-changin! Who would have thought living trends would change so much? In the past 50 years, weve gone from only 16% of couples living together before marriage to over 80%. In the 70s, Tupperware was one of the most popular wedding gifts ... It does have a lifetime warranty after all . Now, with so many couples already shacked up before a ring, money is the most usual wedding gift! It makes you wonder... what on earth will our wedding trends loo...k like in 2070? . . . #weddingtrends #wedding #livingtogether #engagement #livingtogetherbeforemarriage #funfacts #weddingplanner #trend #weddingplanning #weddingbells #marriage #weddingstats See more

09.01.2022 Getting overwhelmed with different venue pricing? I promise you there IS an average! Taking into account food, beverage & venue hire - an average venue is $157 per person . This can, of course, change if you jazz up your style such as cocktail style weddings, BYO beverage, grazing stations, your wedding cake as dessert, weekday weddings, lunchtime receptions... the list goes on & on! 08.01.2022 Happy New Year!
05.01.2022 Happy Mothers Day to all the beautiful mothers out there ! It makes you start to think how you can l include her on your big day? The sky is the limit Consider... #1 Having her walk you down the aisle, give a reading or be a witness , #2 Have her get ready with you on the morning, #3 Wear an item of hers (veil, clutch or handkerchief), #4 Help her find her perfect wedding outfit too (she will be in many photos and want to feel just as beautiful) , #5 Ask her to pick a... special song (you typically need eight key songs for ceremony and reception)... or surprise her with her own wedding song, #6 Give her your bouquet , #7 After the wedding, create a photo album for her, #8 Present a rose to her during the ceremony , #9 Have a mother-daughter dance (with months of catching up whilst practicing!) . . If your mum is sadly no longer here, her spirit and blessing still can be . You can #1 Light a candle at the ceremony , #2 Leave a chair empty for her at the reception, #3 Have her wedding photo or another loving photo on display at your gift table , #4 Wear a piece of her jewellery as something borrowed (or hang it on a chain from your bouquet), #5 Acknowledge her absence in your wedding speech or write a loving note in your program . . . These are just some of the many ways to involve your mum on your special day! . . #mothersday #love #wedding #weddingplanning #memorylane #reminiscing #motherofthebride #motherofthegroom #weddingday See more
