23.01.2022 Its mens health week, and a big part of health is our mental health. It is important for men, just as it is for women to maintain good mental health. Something that can be at risk of being overlooked, but is essential to the way we live life and function. It is important that we check our own health, and encourage the men around us to do the same. #aifc #mentalhealth

21.01.2022 Its vital we have a good balance so we are not controlled by our phones. It can be damaging to all types of relationships. Constant use of technology can bring us away from whats most important.

15.01.2022 It's Mental Health Month! Anxiety is something that many people struggle with on a day to day basis. Studies show that 1 in every 4 Australians struggles with anxiety. Helping to recognise anxiety is an important step towards better mental health. Some common symptoms to look out for can be someone experiencing physical symptoms such as: headaches, stomach issues, trouble breathing or sleeping. Other symptoms can include: overthinking, memory loss, trouble concentrating, p...anic attacks or confusion. All of these symptoms can signal something deeper is going on and it may be good to speak to someone about it.

14.01.2022 Sometimes it is very well hidden. Encourage our boys/men to speak up and seek help - it does not mean you are weak, it means you are courageous.

14.01.2022 As we go into lockdown, please know we understand it can be very traumatizing and cause an increased feeling of anxiety and stress. We are still able to provide support, so please, dont suffer alone, we are here. It's just a phone call away. Phone: 0430 293 255.

06.01.2022 Humanity is wired for connection - if anything, take this away from lockdown and apply it in everyday life - and remember the elderly because for so many, this is their everyday life. Loneliness is a silent killer.

03.01.2022 Breathing exercises can help us cope with shortness of breath, along with other common anxiety and panic related symptoms such as decreasing accelerated heart rate and relieving muscle tension. Diaphragmatic breathing exercises also shift our focus toward the rhythm of our breath, clearing the mind of anxiety and fearful, negative thoughts. -AIFC
