25.01.2022 We understand the importance of knowing your loved ones are safe during these uncertain times With cases on the rise again throughout Australia, it is essential that the most vulnerable are protected. At-home care allows our beautiful clients to feel secure in the safety of their own home with minimal external contact other than their elected support worker.... Rest assured all of our support workers are fully equipped and trained in using personal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitising products when visiting clients. If you are wanting to find out more about the measures we have put it place, feel free to contact our team today! https://www.youragedcare.org/contact #covidsafe #keepingyousafe #agedcare #homecare

17.01.2022 We love and value all generations both young and old. On this year's #WorldChildrensDay, we'd like to take a moment to acknowledge how COVID-19 has affected our children and grandchildren. Even in these uncertain times, there is still hope and a future for our children to make a difference in this world. Let's observe together how we can pave the way to reimagine a better world for our children. What do you think we can do to improve our children’s lives? ... #UNICEF #betterworld

14.01.2022 Unique ways to spend time with your Father/Grandfather this Father’s Day! On a typical Father’s Day, it is all about bringing the family together - BBQ’s, a bit of backyard cricket for the kids and lots of hugs and kisses. This year, however, is different due to the COVID-19. Some are still able to enjoy the local café/restaurant or even a game of putt-putt golf, however, this is not the case for a lot of our elders who are at a much higher risk of infection. We have put... together a few ideas you can use to still show your love to Dad/Grandad at a distance. Have a Virtual Lunch or Breakfast!- Why not have a virtual breakfast or lunch over Skype and feel as though you are at your favourite place together. Bring a plate! Get Crafty!- There is nothing better than receiving gifts that have been made with loveeven if that means macaroni art is the result! Have the kids make up some crafts and personalised letters and deliver it to their door. Have a project day!- The gardens may be looking a bit overgrown and the lawns could use a tidy. Why not spend some time helping get those much-needed projects done? Personalised delivery!- Put together a basket of his favourite things puzzles, books, beer or snacks - they will love the thought you have put in. A simple phone call!- Having to stay indoors as much as possible can start to feel a bit lonely. Why not have a long chat on the phone! It will go a long way. #fathersdaygiftideas #fathersday

Please do not provide your personal information to these people. Visit https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/ for more details about the latest scams.... Stay safe everyone!

13.01.2022 Sadly, we have had to put our "Pet Therapy" services on hold during the current times to ensure the health and well-being of our clients. We can't wait to be able to bring back the adorable Poppy, Coco, and Lulu to give lots of cuddles and licks as conditions hopefully continue to improve coming into the New Year.

12.01.2022 This week is National Carers Week! From October 11 to 17, the National Carers Week raises awareness to celebrate all those who provide care and support to people with disability, mental health condition, chronic & terminal illness, alcohol & drug issues or who are frail aged. A huge shout out to those in our community who have selflessly shown dedication and love to the people they care for, we value and appreciate you!... Did you know: - There are 2.65 million unpaid carers in Australia who provide unpaid care and support to family members and friends. - Unpaid carers have played a major role in flattening the curve of COVID-19 infections by sheltering at home and keeping vulnerable Australians safe. - It is estimated that carers will provide 2.2 billion hours of unpaid care in 2020. - The rate of employment among primary carers (those who provide the most care for an individual) is 47.3%, compared with the Australian average of 65%. Carers make such an outstanding impact to our community. This year’s theme is Tell Us Why You Care. If you wish to contribute to or find out more, visit the official website at: https://carersweek.com.au/ #Carers2020 #WhyWeCare #NationalCarersWeek

04.01.2022 We are delighted to have received some quality Empower Packs from our partner Good360 Australia to prep us in delivering and distributing gifts during Christmas time. This year, we plan to deliver the gifts during our services as we do not anticipate on holding our annual Christmas party due to COVID-19 risks and restrictions. So far, no final decision has been made, but we will ensure to update and contact you directly if we are going to hold the event. We are still hopeful that things would get better and we can gather together again.

03.01.2022 Meet one of our amazing volunteers- Leigh For the past three years, Leigh has volunteered his time to assist with caretaker and gardening work as well as assisting with our Foodbank charity work that used to be a consistent once a month event, pre-COVID. Since COVID, instead of volunteering his time to the Foodbank services he has been going above and beyond to maintain the property, assisting with cleaning, deliveries and much more!... Leigh always loves a good chat and was proud as punch to receive the latest "HARD YACAH" award for all his amazing work. Thank you Leigh! #award #volunteer #volunteering
