24.01.2022 The so-called black sheep of the family are, in fact, hunters born of paths of liberation into the family tree. The members of a tree who do not conform to the ...norms or traditions of the family system, those who since childhood have constantly sought to revolutionise beliefs, going against the paths marked by family traditions, those criticised, judged and even rejected, these are usually called to free the tree of repetitive stories that frustrate entire generations. The black sheep, those who do not adapt, those who cry rebelliously, play a basic role within each family system, they repair, pick up and create new and unfold branches in the family tree. Thanks to these members, our trees renew their roots. Its rebellion is fertile soil, its madness is water that nourishes, its stubbornness is new air, its passion is fire that re-ignites the light of the heart of the ancestors. Uncountable repressed desires, unfulfilled dreams, the frustrated talents of our ancestors are manifested in the rebelliousness of these black sheep seeking fulfilment. 23.01.2022 Oh what a fabulous day we had! Nine gorgeous girls. Nine gorgeous mums. A full day of re-membering, learning, exploring, questions, answers, celebrating and honoring our bodies and each of our uniqueness. A full day where we can talk about the elephant in the room. . . That is- vulvas, blood, wombs, clitoris’s(!), pads, tampons, cups, hormones, periods, hair, wetness... and all the other things that go along with being a woman. .... . We shared stories of our youth, our experiences, and the girls soaked it in with wide eyes and hungry ears. We normalized it all. And we held sacred space so they would feel held, supported and safe. . . We are re-weaving the red thread. It’s sacred bloody wet work. And it’s magnificent. Deep bow to ourselves as women. 23.01.2022 Here we are. Nearing the Winter Solstice. The actual date of June 22nd is still 3 weeks away but the night are noticeable longer and the days much shorter. . This year we’re celebrating on the 11th. My daughters school lantern festival is the night we’d normally have our circle, so I’ve brought it early a week. . And this way, by coming to circle early, you can walk through this portal of darkness with awareness and consciousness with what is actually happening. You can ful...ly BE with what is. . Yule is the celebration of the longest night and the shortest, darkest day of the year. We celebrate this time as a recognition that we have traveled to this deep dark day, and that the longer days and increasing light are now in front of us. Traditionally it is celebrated as Winter has come to its midpoint, and survival is now more promising as the days are increasing in length. This seasonal depiction of mid-Winter is not about the temperature of our weather. It is more about the natural rhythms of our Great Mother Earth and her cycle of birth, growth, full bloom, harvest, decay, and death in a continuous cycle. This same cycle follows the seasons, the moon, our menstrual cycle, and our lives as women - and how we move through the stages of Maiden, Mother, Maga, and Crone. . As Yule is the celebration of death, the void, and birth, we will be exploring themes in our lives of what we need to let go of, what lies in the void, and what seeds in our lives are gestating now over Winter? What is being prepared in the soils beneath us over these cold dark months? . We will be using the Circle as Shaman, to bear witness to each other, share and hold space. The magic of this medium allows a gentle unfolding and connections to be made between each woman over the course of the evening. 21.01.2022 Imbolc Blessings to you all. I was honored to be a part of two circles this last weekend. My Friday night open Women’s Circle which is there for anyone to join any time, and the closed Women’s Circle which runs on Saturday nights for women who want to journey the wheel in one complete group. We meet at each sabbat, which is about every 6 weeks. And how amazing it’s been. Both nights full of laughter, tears, love, sharing and honesty- as we, as women, travel through our li...ves. . . Imbolc is the time to plant those seeds of intent that you will like to manifest this round of the wheel. What we plant now, whether metaphoric or literal will grow, reach full bloom (if we pay attention and care for them!) and eventually fruit or harvest. What you plant now will be more visible next Autumn when our harvests are here. You can now choose- do you want to consciously create your year, or unconsciously stumble through the next months to find a surprise next Autumn in your harvest. Now is the time. Time to catch that wave. . We sang and shared our stories, and we planted our literal seeds to grow over this next year. I have 3 tickets left for my next Celebration Day for Girls workshop on October 11th. .... The day a girl gets her first period is possibly her most important rite of passage. She will never go back to being that same child again. She is now fertile and needs to be respected amongst society as that. In the west, we do not know what to do to prepare a girl for this time. We do not talk about periods, or the conversation is reserved for a special day at school when a teacher comes and talks about reproduction and growing bodies. Unfortunately, the subject is very taboo. Celebration Day for Girls is a beautiful way of breaking through this entrenched taboo topic and bringing a sense of excitement, belonging, appreciation and wonder to being a woman and having a menstrual cycle. . Celebration Day for Girls is a one-day workshop for 10-12 years old girls with their mother or female carer. This carefully crafted workshop was designed to support girls and mothers at this special threshold in both their lives, and to provide an affirming, grounded and connected celebration of the journey to womanhood. On the day girls enjoy lively discussion, fun activities, women’s stories and gentle celebration of the magical threshold of puberty and menarche. The girls are warmly invited into the time-honoured, nurturing connection and support women have long shared with each other. Many participants report that their mother-daughter relationship is enriched and enlivened as the doors of communication in this key area of female experience and development are opened wide. . . 21.01.2022 Journeying to the Dark Goddess changes is each time we undertake that journey. To prepare to visit the Dark Goddess we have to stop and listen to ourselves; deeply. We have to admit to the parts of our lives that are not working, that are making us unhappy or even ill and we have to be prepared to do something about them. To descend into the Underworld we have to give away, one by one, all the things that hold us back from the change. This can feel like we are losing everyth...ing. I had no idea what was going on, and she molded me in a way I never knew possible. It was like losing all pieces of my identity. I very very very rarely speak of this time in my life. It is so incredibly sacred to me. It was a pivotal point in my life. I had tangible experiences of SHE that touched the very core of my being. One day I might share this year of my life. When it’s ready to emerge... . . And since then, my life has been walking a sacred road. All I do, all my passions, interests, life view points- all I offer to the community, all I read, all I get motivated over is derived from this one year of my life. The great awakening. 19.01.2022 Today is International Day of the Girl, and so it was quite fortuitous that yesterday I held a Celebration Day for a Girls workshop in the Moon Lodge. . We had a glorious day together celebrating and empowering these young girls into their menstruating years. Here is the stunning mandala they made signifying the cycles of life. May they grow and know themselves fully in all that they do. I pray they will be aware of and empowered by their changing bodies over the whole cour...se of their lifetime. . The quote below is sad and true. I trust that these workshops plant little seeds inside each girl to how beautiful they all are, and how magical and captivating it is to fully embody Woman- in all Her ways. "The young girl of the West learns from all these subliminal signals to distrust, to dislike, and be ashamed of her own body and feelings, and those of other women. The femaleness she knowsbody hair, sweat, monthly bloodflow, menstrual odor, ovulation dischargemust be hidden, taken care of in secret; while the femaleness men want to see (their own?) must be enhanced, publicly flaunted. Whether she really feels like doing this or not, she sees all the other women doing it. The message is that she must depend on something outside herself (men, male taste) for her self-definition. And she is on her own, isolated. The modern community of women exists only to show her how to hide her femaleness. She comes, crazily or with resignation, to associate menstruation with hurts, wounds, body waste, disabilities, shame, curtailment of her freedom. She comes to believe her lack of freedom comes from nature, how own biology, rather than resulting directly from patriarchal oppression and male fear. 19.01.2022 This year I have birthed three drums that have been passed on to other women. In all parts of the world. These drums, each unique, have been birthed through the creative process of tuning in to each woman and her essence. These are sacred tools for connection to the unseen. . I feel so humbled to craft such potent tools. Tools to connect to the feminine. The SHE. The unseen- and to those who have passed on. It feels like a bone-deep memory that is coming from within as I wor...k the hide, the sinew and the weaving in and out of one length. I have been bought to tears while making these instruments. It’s like a cellular memory is emerging. One that takes me back to the Ancient days of Mesamatopia. The ancient times when the women were the drum carriers and working the hide was second nature. Even now my hands somehow find the way. Like they work on their own feeling texture, raw sinew, water.... birthing a drum is a wet process- just like birthing babies. We use strength, we stretch, we burst forth water, and we breath. And just like birth, these drums all take many many hours of concentrated labor and love to create. . And in my blood and heart this is a passion of mine. It brings me such joy to facilitate Sacred Drum-Making workshops here in South Australia. To midwife another through this process. And to make for drums others too. . We had to post-pone last weekends workshop and it will now run in 2 weeks. 17.01.2022 Last night I had to pleasure of sitting in circle with dear Ailsa. It brings me such deep joy knowing a circle has fed another woman something for her soul. I sat in a women’s circle on a moon light night in the majestic moon lodge. I took time to connect to my life’s intentions, and share in the synchronicities of women’s stories. I got out of my head and dropped into my body and spirit. I honoured my hopes, my needs and my desires. I sowed seeds of intent as we celebrated Imbolc. We laughed, cried, sang and feasted together. This morning I woke with a sharper, more trusting focus. I feel polished like a pearl emerging from the salty confines of her shell. I can’t wait to share my new offerings with you that have already begun to blossom in my business, like the cherry trees on my Walk and Talks. To listen and support you as you sew your own seeds of intent, and tend to them with love and understanding. This is a time for us ALL to notice the deep rumbling in our bellies & honour what needs to be nurtured. Thank you to the women I met and connected with last night and especially to Artemis @she_awakening for holding the sacred, safe space for us all. 15.01.2022 I’m filled with the oxytocin of women sitting together. This last weekend we had two Spring Equinox Circles. Our Friday night circle that is open for all to attend, and the closed circle on Saturday night. . . And I have giggled and sung my way through them both, with last night being the tipping point into giddy hilarity and heart bursting joy to be with all these women. .... . It is such an honor to hold deep sacred space and weave our way through the Sabbats of the year together. At this most recent circle we celebrated the balance of day and night, the midpoint between Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice. We also went on an inner journey into our womb space to meet and reconnect with our inner Maiden. On the wheel of the year, Spring Equinox is a fertility festival- it’s actually Easter here in Australia. But we copy the northern hemisphere and celebrate in Autumn - which is out of synch with us as we have baby bunnies and eggs now at this time of year. . . Hundreds of years ago it was very common for the church to overlap their festivals with the pagan ones to connect with more of the community. They chose Easter, named after Goddess Ostara, to celebrate the rebirth of Christ. The original festival was the celebration of OUR rebirth. The rebirth of the daylight. From spring Equinox the days become longer then the night. At the Equinox these daylight/ nighttime ours are equal. And before it, the nights were longer then the days. . . And we marked it with this journey into our wombs to meet our Maiden, as it is at the point in the wheel we celebrate our first Menarche. It was a beautiful journey for us all to travel on and bare witness to all of our stories. . . These circles are such a beautiful holding and sacred space for us all. I am always filled with love and joy after each and feel so blessed to be doing this work. We have so so much fun!! . . We related our weekend of drum creation to the process of birth and reflected on our birth stories and themes (including non human babes like projects) - it was incredibly powerful, my jaw kept dropping as the themes revealed and played out. I was noticing I like a neat organised space while I birth, it allows we ease of flow physically, mentally and emotionally. It’s inspired me to declutter my home - I’ve always known my home is too full and messy, yet I rarely prioritise it. So that’s what I’m gestating now. What are you gestating? Can you learn from your birth stories? . . . @calmbuddhi your meditation cushion was my lil saviour! Nanny Elaine it was so beautiful to have your blankets there holding me and my drum as they did my human baby. Aunty Suzie, that’s a journal you gifted me, she’s now full and content. 07.01.2022 Six drums were birthed this weekend. Over 2 days these brave wild sovereign women explored their birth imprint and how they ‘birth’ things in this world. And from this place, they weaved their prayers, blessings and mindfulness into six gorgeous drums. . . Now, we wait eight days for them to dry. To fully be ready for vibration and playing. Then we bring them to life, with love and passion. So these women can walk beauty in this world as drum keepers- a privilege and a birth... rite. . . And this is what this planet needs now. For us to be in balance, centered and in our sovereign power. Having this sacred instrument with them to walk through life gives them the tools to transmit old patterns, beliefs, emotions and ways through walking with the beat of the drum. 06.01.2022 Winter. . Last weekend we had our Women’s Circle for Winter Solstice. I was Day 1 bleeding, on the dark moon, in mid Winter. It was deep. And dark. And I discovered more things about myself. More things in the shadow. . And I think one of those things that came for me was my need to recommit to my own spiritual practice. I know when I regularly do, my offerings are more potent, and I feel very ‘tuned’ in. It wasn’t that I didn’t feel this this time- it was that I felt the ...exhaustion of the ‘busy’ ness and that I enjoyed the stillness we experienced in our process when we sat in candle meditation in the ‘void’. . And as a mum, who has recently moved house, and is navigating a rebuild- of home and branding, my time has been getting sucked into other things. We now live in a home for the next year that has no proper walls or doors- which means meditating and finding quite space is hard. And I miss my infrared sauna as it’s packed up while we rebuild. It was my evening check in. My sacred space of renewal and rest where I would sink right in to my being. The heat and sweat bringing me so close to my heart and the Divine. . So I recommit. To myself. To rest. To meditating. To drumming. To reading. To being. I recommit to connecting to my centre on a daily basis. To my breath. This is what actually fuels me. Feeds me. And nourishes me. . I think it’s sad that it’s often what we need to most that gets dropped or falls away when we get busy and life pulls us sideways. I am so grateful to these circles that bring women closer together, and help us to remember what is important to us in Life. What helps us thrive. 04.01.2022 It’s Spring Equinox just around the corner here in South Australia. Next Friday we’re celebrating in the Moon Lodge with a Women’s Circle to honor this time. The circle is already booked out, but I wanted to let you know the significant of the Spring Equinox so you can do a celebration of your own at home. . . Spring Equinox is the exact point between Summer and Winter Solstice. We are at the midpoint. And at the midpoint we fully emerge from the ‘underworld’ where we have b...een since last Autumn Equinox. This is the tipping point. The days and nights are of equal length and we have an opportunity to assess where we need balance in our lives. What are we overdoing? What are we ignoring? . . In my garden I am madly planting my seeds for the summer veggie patch. It’s the time now to do that. And metaphorically, it is the time for us to plant ‘seeds of intent’ for that which we want to create in our lives. So as we assess the balance (or lack of) we can determine whether we need to ‘weed’ out things we do not want to ‘grow’ - and ‘plant’ seeds for the things that we do. . . Spring Equinox also represents the ‘Maiden’ (ages 0-25) in the women’s wheel. The youthfulness, energetic, innocent, uprising energy of our young women. It is also symbolically represented by our first Menstrual period. So we will be diving deep into embodying positive imprints of this time in our life. What happens to us at this point in our lives is ‘imprinted’ into us as how our society values women. If nothing out of the ordinary happened for you- then this is your imprint. It’s not that only ‘celebrations’ get imprinted. It’s what ‘doesn’t happen’ that gets imprinted too. That IS your rite off passage. Whether it’s conscious, or not. . . So at home, take time to look at where you need balance. What needs ‘planting’? What needs ‘weeding’? And take sometime to revisit your first Menstrual cycle experience. Journal on it... and honor it. If it wasn’t a positive experience, at your next bleed (if you have one) or on the next Dark Moon, have a conversation with your inner Maiden. Listen to what she says, honor it, and then tell her all you actually needed to hear. . . See more

04.01.2022 My vision of the Moon Lodge has always been for a place where women come and can just BE. Where they’re fully accepted in their wholeness and in their process of re-membering. Re-membering. As in bringing all our parts back together. We have been dismembered. In our herstory we were broken, shamed, burnt at the stake, banished, banned, hidden, cursed... you name it. It’s happened to women. And in our genetic make-up, this is remembered. . This can be seen in the old patte...rns women play out. Gossiping, speaking negatively about others behind their backs, control and divide, bitchiness, staying small to be safe amongst others, not using their voice. These patterns don’t serve us or the whole. It’s time to look within, not without when something triggers you about another woman. She is not the problem. It’s how you feel inside that is the light that shows where healing is needed within each of us. . This takes patience, dedication, mindfulness, therapy, deep investigation and full responsibility to own our own baggage. Projection is not the cure. . And the Moon Lodge was set up for women to come, feel the true integrity of sisterhood, and to bare witness to each other, to celebrate each other, to see and hear each other, and to be held as we all re- member our broken parts back together. So many women come acknowledging how they realize their voice is lost in the chaos of life. A big re-membering and healing for this is the use of ones voice in circle. The repatterning and wholeness that comes from this spreads through ones life. It changed ones life. It empowers us, and each woman. And it heals. Then she can walk forward feeling more confident and knowing her Self more. This is the true re- membering. . And this painting depicts the essence of women together. How we use to be. 04.01.2022 I’ve now returned from 10 days away in the deep dive portal of Wilderness Solo with the @schoolofshamanicwomancraft. . Apprenticing with this school is such an awesome experience. 03.01.2022 I just finished this book. Finally. After it was on my reading list for years. If I could quote this entire book into a post I would. I’ve received so much reading this. My body has vibrated in the ‘knowing’ that I was there in Mesamatopia and Sumeria thousands of years ago. My relationship to SHE, the Divine Feminine, and the work I do in this world aligns so beautifully with all these written words. Like revisiting a past life, and all the thousands of years that we have tr...avelled since. All the emotions and heart expansions were there as I read about where I’ve come from. All the anger and grief reading of the years the drum was stolen from us. It’s like the ‘knowing’ that was inside me has been put into a book. And so much more of my life now makes sense. . And to quote one small fragment... . The cyclic energies of the seasons were comprehended, remembered, and preserved in the rhythm of the temple rituals. Keeping the urban population in close touch with the process of nature was one of the primary purposes of the rituals performed by the priestesses and priests of Sumer. Innana’s temple at Uruk was acoustically designed to enhance the effectiveness of the rituals that took place with its walls. 03.01.2022 The Womb Lodge was birthed Friday night. She was created twelve months ago with the intention of an autumnal birthing, but restrictions paused that. So it was last Friday instead. . . It was honor to hold space with Samantha Micallif of Sacred Feminine Alchemy. A dear sister, we have participated in sacred ceremony together for 17 years. And now we held space together. .... . And this Womb Lodge is based on our ancestral memories, our own genetic codes and wisdom coming from within. A feminine based ritual where we sit in darkness, sweat, honor the land, our prayers and the women’s wheel. Setting intentions, calling the Great Mother, shedding and letting go, and prayers for the Earth. We sang, we laughed, we howled, we cried, we drummed, and we were reborn as we crawled out from the darkness hours later as new women. . . We were held by a most humble and experienced Fire Keeper who held great space as we journeyed within. I am so honored, touched and grateful that this land is now holding these beautiful ceremonies.
