21.01.2022 -YOUR RESUME ---- This is a clouded market if you try to get advice about your resume. First points to make is the delivery or how you will give your resume to a potential employer.... 1. Many jobs are advertised online. a. Recruitment portal - If a job is online on a recruitment portal and a recruitment agency is reviewing these resumes, the Applicant Tracking System applies. Most recruiters have a customer management system and this evaluates the information on the resume It reviews the keywords and can list the applicants according to the keywords in the job description. Therefore if applying for a recruitment job through a recruitment portal it is very important to review the keywords and ensure these are listed on your cover letter and your resume. b. Conversation with Hiring Manager - If however you have a conversation online about a job and then send them the resume through the conversation portal, the presentation of the resume becomes more important. The layout, the design and the key points you want to sell to that individual who is hiring. 2. If walking the talk and going directly to the companies, handing in your resume, Face to Face and discussing with the receptionist of the companies you want to work for. A cover letter outlining the reasons you fit that company and the design of your resume are important. 3. If Applying Directly Through Seek, Indeed Jora - this would be integrated with the ATS system so keywords, job description and layout is important. Sometimes though design aspects of a resume can impede with how the information is read. It may be best to test a general format versus a design format and measure the results . How many calls you get from a recuiter? 4. Gumtree adverts or Facebook adverts --- There can be many good jobs on these portals as some hiring managers want a more direct process of evaluating a person for a job. Sometimes to evaluate a person for a job, it can be best done with a general conversation or a trial. 5. Workapp - Is a new app which is downloadable to the phone. www.workapp.world. It has many free features. This is a platform for which recruiters can post their jobs for free and its also where people looking for work can create a worker's profile. They can add their resume, a video, a portfolio to sell their key skills and attributes that show they may be a valuable addition to a company...
