Not wanting to be over-pedantic, but page 19/223 0f Coordination Committee on 26Feb indicates the appointment of Grassroots Connections Aust P/L as the consultant for the Organisational Review. No tenders because Grassroots is a prequalified Suppler with Local Buy, a subsidiary of LGAQ, No BUS 249-0419. Reg 234 does permit councils to tap into such LGAQ arrangements without tenders. I am appalled, but that’s the law here in Qld Lo...oking at the Local Buy web site there is no mention of Grassroots in the Contracts section. In the Suppliers section they are mentioned as one of two prequalified suppliers for BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SERVICES [which I take to be a bunch of experienced secretaries and IT persons who can teach you how to set up and run your office]. On the other hand an ORGANISATIONAL REVIEW is an entirely different matter at a much higher level....it is board room stuff. Also, Grassroots are registered as BUS 249- 0515; a different number to the one presented to council. Why do I yet again smell a rat?
