The Reserve Bank of Australia has today reduced rates by another 25 basis points, in a bid to stem the negative impact on GDP by trying to encourage Australians to spend more. We find such language embarrassing and difficult to digest. 14.01.2022 Something that has put a lot of people off refinancing their current home loan, or investing in property and getting a new loan, is the forensic detail and strict lending criteria during the application process that has been imposed by the banks, post Royal Commission 2019. Whilst this has eased somewhat in 2020, lenders are still far more meticulous than years gone by. And yes, that can sometimes be a pain. But the end result is worthwhile. For if a financial institution ...lends you money these days, they well and truly know you can service that loan. So we suggest you take that as a huge positive. The times of being able to borrow pretty much whatever you want, and then struggle with payments are long gone. Take comfort and solace in the fact that every nook and cranny has been checked to ensure that the loan is viable and appropriate for you and your family. Have a great week.

09.01.2022 This week, the Reserve Bank left interest rates on hold at its first meeting of the year, despite the economic fallout from Australia's bushfires and China's coronavirus outbreak. The RBA's cash rate remains at a record low 0.75 per cent. Markets are still anticipating a rate cut soon, with March seen as a 50/50 prospect, while traders are pricing in a two-thirds chance of interest rates being at 0.5 per cent or lower after April's RBA meeting.... If there was ever a time to review and possibly refinance, now is that time. Please don’t let apathy cost you a lot of money. Have a great day :))

03.01.2022 Hi folks! Some amazing interest rates available for you at present. One thing we will say is to not be solely influenced by the lowest rate. Your Finance Broker will consider many other factors to cater for your personal circumstances.... Many basic variable home loans will now be under 3% by the end of March (some even with offset accounts!). Loans with more options often have rates just marginally higher. Some variable rates include: 2.79% by Bluestone 2.84% with Macquarie No doubt some will go even lower! Fixed rates: 2.64% for 1,2,3 yrs with Macquarie 2.49% for 3 years only with ING Want to use the equity in your home and purchase an investment property via Your Property People? Investor rates: Variable rates will move towards 3% or lower with fixed rates for 3 yrs available at 2.74%!! Enjoy your evening.
