I've had the chance to get to know most of the candidates and directed my preferences based on policy considerations and my personal assessment of candidate's characters. Please note this is a guide only. You should mark James Holgate at number 1 and make sure you carefully number every box from 1 to 14 otherwise your vote will be deemed informal. 03.01.2022 I'll be deciding where to send my preferences as I get to know the other candidates. Only one other ran in the 2019 election, and there may be fewer opportunities (you might haver heard of COVID) to 'get up and personal'. This is unfortunate. In any event, here is my response from last year when asked about preferences by Phil in Googong... I have been handing out a how to vote card, but ask that you think about your vote and fill it out as you see fit. I and am swapping ...preferences with the other independent, David Sheldon as we are philosophically aligned i.e. James Holgate 1, David Sheldon 2. For strategic reasons (and to return the favour) I have put the major parties at the bottom in numbers 7 and 8. I am not happy to put either the (questionable) UAP or (completely absent) CDP high up for various reasons, so numbers 3 to 6 are somewhat randomly generated! I don't agree with many of the National's policies, but can vouchsafe the genuine commitment and authenticity of their candidate Sophie Wade. Anyway, please put me as 1 and David Sheldon 2.
