22.01.2022 If you, or someone you know is still using Windows Vista, please be aware that it no longer be supported by Microsoft after April 11. It will still work but will not receive security updates and, therefore, should not be on the internet; Same with XP which reached "End of Life" almost 2 years ago.

13.01.2022 So it has been less than a month since the police have enabled the ability to select to receive an infringement notice via email and already the scams have begun via email. If you receive an email saying you have received an traffic infringement and you have: not been pulled over did not select the option for an email infringement notice, and the email is clearly NOT from the QPS... Send it straight to junk, do not open and def do not click on any links.

12.01.2022 Today Microsoft began rolling out the so called "Fall Creators Update" to all Windows 10 users. According to reports some users are experiencing problems following the update. If you have problems, note that older PCs will not receive the update for some time, you know who to call. 10.01.2022 We Need to Talk About Backup People Last week I had a young mother ring to say her computer would not boot and that she had an assignment due in 2 days. I went over to her place, started the computer and knew right away the Hard Drive had died. To confirm this, I removed the drive and put it in another device I carry.........nothing. I said to her I can fix the computer no problem; but please tell me you have your data backed up somewhere. She brought out an external drive. G...reat I thought. When did you last back everything up? "12 months or so ago" she relied. YIKES! Apart from her assignment, she lost her kid photos, tax records, emails etc All gone. So here is how to backup folks; remember 3, 2, 1. 3 copies of every file, photo or whatever. On 2 different media (eg external Drive, another computer even CD would have helped her here) One copy off- site to guard against fire, flood, theft etc. And automate the backups so you don't forget to do it daily or even twice daily: like me. If you need help to set this up You know who to call. It was going to cost this lady $600 she did not have to "maybe" get the data back from a recovery expert. Don't be one hard drive failure away from loosing everything.
