Aleisha promotes a positive and healthy lifestyle and is very passionate about breastfeeding, especially assisting mothers in continuing to breastfeed and returning to work. Aleisha will be coming to give an information session to mothers and mothers to be on Saturday 16th January at 10am. Location TBC. I hope this will be the first of many more information sessions I will be hosting to support mothers and the...ir families in transitioning to parenthood. 07.01.2022 Last year, a review published in the British Medical Journal showed that universal antenatal screening for the group B strep bacteria may cause more harm than g...ood. The reviewers found that universal screening for group B strep "would have led to overtreatment of 138 583 (99.75%) women in labour." Given that the treatment is giving intravenous (by drip) antibiotics during labour, which have side effects and mean that movement and options are limited, this is an important finding.
